Chrysalis Christian Preschool

I am deeply disappointed in my experience with Chrysalis. As an organization that presents itself as faith-based and rooted in Christian values, I expected an environment defined by grace, kindness, integrity, and accountability. Unfortunately, what I observed felt very different. There appears to be a disconnect between the values the school promotes and the way situations are handled in practice. I have serious concerns about how staff conduct and student safety issues are addressed, including an incident involving inappropriate physical contact with a child that, to my knowledge, was not communicated transparently to families or handled with the urgency such matters deserve. Situations involving children should always be managed with full transparency, compassion, and strict adherence to reporting responsibilities. More broadly, the culture did not reflect the grace, humility, and kindness one would expect from a Christian institution. Rather than feeling supported and cared for, interactions often felt lacking in empathy and accountability. Families trust faith-based schools to uphold the highest moral and ethical standards, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of children. I sincerely hope leadership reflects on these concerns and takes meaningful steps toward transparency, compassion, and true Christ-centered care.

I'm so glad we've found Chrysalis! They have such a wide variety of schedule that you can choose for your child. They truly care for the children here and have so many activities, events, updates. The entire staff is caring and invested. My daughter Sally absolutely loves it here. We're truly blessed to have the care of Chrysalis.

Our son Dax has attended Chrysalis for about a year now and we love how everyone knows him by name, knows us and it feels like a family. They have listened and addressed any concerns we have brought to their attention. He absolutely loves and adores his teachers that he has this year and he loves to go to school. We were hesitant about putting him in a program when he first started but Chrysalis has been a great first experience for him and we are grateful for the love of school and God they have instilled in him so far.

As parents of children who have been attending this Christian preschool since infancy, we want to take a moment to brag about the incredible teachers (Ms. Darby and Ms. Jan) and their dedication to early literacy. The teachers here utilize The Storytelling Project from Rice University, a yearlong professional development program that combines early literacy research with hands-on practice. They’ve mastered strategies to help children expand their vocabularies, develop print awareness, cultivate oral expression, and understand narrative form through story dictation and dramatization. My daughter wakes up excited to tell me it's her turn to tell a story. This storytelling-focused approach, combined with a nurturing environment and engaging activities like lessons on community helpers and visits from professionals, makes learning both exciting and meaningful. Our children come home every day eager to share their stories and new skills, and we’ve seen remarkable growth in their social and academic abilities. We can’t recommend this preschool enough for families seeking a literacy-rich, inspiring, and supportive place for their little ones. It has truly been a blessing!

My family has been at Chrysalis for the past 7 years with my two daughters attending as infants through pre-k. My daughter, Amelia, is currently in Pre-K and it is our last year there. We will be so sad to leave Chrysalis! We have had the best, most caring teachers and our girls have learned so much! My oldest daughter was more than ready for Kindergarten and I thank Chrysalis for helping her to get there. I've always felt that my girls were safe, cared for, and having fun while at Chrysalis. They go above and beyond for their kiddos and I highly recommend them!
