I came late (30 min) so take what I say with a grain of salt. I was driving in from Maryland so I live pretty far. I’ve been trying to find a good church to go to. There weren’t any ushers or volunteers randomly standing around. I was used to that from the small town church I grew up going to (even if you were late there were always volunteers). Nobody really acknowledged me (but that’s okay!). A bunch of people were talking outside the auditorium…no one was really paying attention to the pastor preaching. I just shrugged it off but still found it a little bizarre. Quietly found a seat in the auditorium. The pastor was talking about the Pharisees and having the heart of a Christian and it’s not just about your outward actions? I don’t know. A lot got lost in translation. Again, I came late so I really want to give this church another chance. The pastor was not the most eloquent pastor I’ve listened to. He was hard to follow at times. I sympathize with him a bit because the church was dead. Not lively at all. The people outside the auditorium seemed to be enjoying themselves more than those inside the auditorium during worship and the sermon. It kind of made me sad. I will give it another shot because I want to be fair (with me being late and all) but I’m not sure this place is for me. I found the whole experience very cold. I will go back in 2 weeks and change my review if I feel differently.
Great place to worship. They offer many classes and have children's, teen, and young adult teachings and classes. It's a church of diversity. They host community events with serving it as well.
Was kicked out of a grass field today for the first time for flying with my father. It was apparently associated to this church. With the amount of property they control in Ashburn I’m not sure how this is improving our community.
Great and meaningful Worship. Mike’s sermon was thoughtful, funny at times but most of all he brought the gospel into focus for how we are to serve, relying on His grace.
My wife Donna and I have been attending for a year. The teaching is wonderful, the fellowship is great, and the focus on helping everyone develop a more intimate relationship with Jesus is superb.
