What Parents Say
This appears to be a church facility rather than a daycare center. Reviews praise the Episcopal church's traditional liturgical services, architecture, music program, and clergy. The facility is described as welcoming and integral to the Pensacola community.
Attended worship at Christ Episcopal Church today and experienced a very complete and traditional liturgical service. Rev. Dr. Michael Hoffman and Rev. Kathryn Gillett led the service with great professionalism; their Bible teachings and execution of the liturgy were both skillful and precise, creating a sense of solemnity and reverence throughout. The Sunday School was also well-structured, helping us better understand and apply biblical teachings. Overall, it was a heartwarming experience, reminiscent of a long-missed form of worship. Highly recommended for those seeking a traditional worship experience!
Has been my home church since the mid 80s. The building itself is awe-inspiring. The choir is magnificent, Christian education program gets rave reviews. I’m on my 4th priest 🤓 and adore Father Michael Hoffman, Reverend Katherine Gillett, and our choir director, Dr. Jason Hobratschk! The congregation is dedicated and welcoming. The service never fails to move me. ❤️
Attended the early service and was amazed by the number of attendees and the presence of a full altar party, including a choir. Excellent music, awe-inspiring architecture, and solid preaching & liturgical delivery from the two priests. Also enjoyed coffee & a Sunday School discussion thereafter. Although I live 3 hours away I intend to worship here any time I am in Pensacola.
This church is a little cliquish. The earlier service appears to be the friendlier of the two services. 8 AM - Very welcoming. 10:30 - The lady collecting the offering sped past us without taking our money. The husband/wife in front of us looked at me during the greeting part of the ceremony and then quickly looked away without shaking my hand, and the husband was passing gas which were were downwind from. There was another instance in a past 10:30 service where people were apprehensive to shake my hand. I’m not sure what I’m doing. I don’t crack mirrors, and I don’t pee on the floor. Not a very Christian attitude. I also don’t find the pastor to be indiscriminately outgoing. He acted like he was afraid to address me once exiting the church. I mean, outreach is part of his job even towards those that are introverted such as myself. The associate pastor is much better.
Beautiful chapel open for tours on Saturday mornings.
