An Absolutely Amazing Center, Dedicated Staff, and Stellar New Leadership! Child Time Grosse Pointe has been an absolutely amazing center for my daughter, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. The entire staff is genuinely invested in our children's growth and development, making this feel like much more than just a daycare. My two-year-old daughter has learned a significant amount since starting here. Watching her blossom and reach milestones is a testament to the engaging and supportive environment the teachers create every day. They have also been a massive help with the challenging potty training adventures—their patience and consistency make a huge difference! While the center recently went through some leadership changes, which initially made us parents a little sad, the most recent additions have been nothing short of awesome. We were overly thrilled to find out that Daeja would be taking on the role of new Assistant Director. She has always been a standout member of the team and we know she will more than rock the position! The new Acting Director, Christyn Berghorn, has been absolutely amazing! In her short time with the center, the spirits of the parents, the children, and the staff have significantly improved. Her communication skills are top-notch, and her way of interacting—as if we are all family—is exactly what we dream of having in the leadership guiding the caretakers of our children. Since her arrival, there have been so many fun dress-up days and spirit weeks, bringing extra joy and excitement to the kids' routines. I genuinely can't wait to see what more Christyn has in store for the children and the parents! This center is truly thriving.
I just want to say starting at the beginning was great for my grandson. He was in the room with the best staff they were amazing with him! He was potty trained with in 2 weeks we were so excited! I even gave a gift certificate for being so nice to him. But when he was transferred to the center of the building my heart sank! My grandson had only been going to the school for about 2 months and I swear every time! I bring him and check him in all I hear and see the lady yelling at the kids in a very harsh way!!!! And she doesn’t care if parents are there! She never smile the kids look so scared of her! She have a very ugly personality and so when they switched my grandson to her class I couldn’t do it! We tried for not even half a day I had to come get him! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! And it’s sad that I see there’s another person complaining about the same thing that I am 2 years ago and that person is still there!!
My son has been going to Childtime for almost 3 years now and we love it. The staff is very friendly and he has learned so much from the teachers.
As a Baker College student who has not worked in a child care center before I was pretty nervous coming in to observe a classroom for the first time. Upon meeting the director and staff I was quickly put at ease and felt welcome right away. The center is welcoming, clean, and secure. The staff is friendly, helpful, caring, and a lot of fun. The children are happy, well taken care of, and obviously loved by the staff. I would recommend this center to perspective staff and parents alike.
"My child has attended this center for 1.5 years. Most of the Lead teachers are not state CDA certified. They claim the teachers are on track for certification but they can't finish a six month CDA program and they have worked there for years. Multiple children put toys in their mouths and the toys are not taken away and put in the cleaning bin. Multiple kids sick with runny noses. The in school payment system goes offline all the time so if you were relying on paying by credit card in the office your payment will be late. The online payment system from home locks up and prevents you from paying that way also. They take the kids out to the playground maybe two days a week if they're lucky. But no matter which of these or any otjer issues you point out to them they always have a promise to do better and state "We are constantly striving to improve" They had a Great director(Michelle) for a few months but she transferred because the staff was so bad and they were all gonna quit because she was trying to enforce the standards. If you ask questions they smile and refuse to answer or just flat out lie. Find somewhere else for your little angel if I had it to do over I would."
