We have had our daughter enrolled at Child's Garden since last September and are so lucky to have found this center! Our little one has blossomed and thrived in this Reggio Emilia environment. The 2-3 teacher is amazing with the children. They go on nature walks once a week and spend a lot of time outdoors. I value this center so much and it is evident how much they care about the children there. If I ever have a concern they are super responsive via email or in person. The owner, Mr. Harry, is always warm and friendly greeting everyone in the morning and is actively involved in this center. I can't say enough good things about this place.
Be prepared for an abrupt end of service. My son was enrolled here recently and I was notified by my son's grandfather that Mr. Harry would not be picking him up from school ever again!! I was not given any phone call about any incident, there was no meeting to discuss plan of action for my son wandering off as child tend to do. When I interviewed the center I was told that they were qualified individuals and that Mr. Harry had years and years of experience. The way that Mr. Harry handled the situation was very unprofessional for someone who claims to have years of experience in child care and to be so unwilling to even work with the family. I only gave this place 1 star because there was no option to give half of one star. Good bye child's garden. I would seek care from professionals or just get a sitter so you can save the money.
We decided to enroll our child here and after only 2 days of attending parttime, we had security issues concerning my child's safety. The first day I came to pick up my child we greeted each other outside. The attendant must have noticed that my child was outside and she came out to explain that my son was fast and a wanderer. This was a red flag and was unacceptable that my 2 year old could have endangered himself under their care unsupervised .Me and my wife sent an email and addressed this issue the next day. We voiced our concerns to one of the office staff members and was told this would not happen again. I later spoke to the director ,a Mr. Harris, who decided that since my son is an"explorer",he doesn't have the resources to watch my son while he attends. This was after only 2 days of attending and the director add that in his 30 years of teaching that my child wasn't a good fit for the school ,but never addressed that one of his attendants allowed my child to make it outside unsupervised. We asked for our money back and we parted ways. We have since found a better fit for our son and he is learning so much and doing well and most of all he is safe. I do not recommend this school to any parent if you have a energetic child and the security at this place is a joke. The director is very unprofessional and I never met a teacher or someone that has been teaching for a number of years to not have a plan to teach different types of children.
This has been a really great place for my children to learn and grow.
