What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Children's Village Salmon Creek for its caring, compassionate staff who treat children as extended family. The center is noted for cleanliness, safety protocols, strong communication through the Procare app, and individualized attention to child development. Multiple families have enrolled multiple children over years and recommend the facility highly.
Children’s Village deserves a lot of credit. Usually, no one will go out of their way to leave a positive review, but taking care of kids is not easy business. It takes a special person with patience and compassion. I can tell you, they truly care, and take that responsibility seriously. They go above and beyond to make sure the center is clean and ready to safely care for the kids. Including dedicating their off time to do so. I have had 3 kids grow up through both centers starting as infants. Now they transport my school age kids to and from school. A big benefit that I really appreciate is they use Procare, which is a great communication tool for us parents. I can see when my kids are checked in/out and by whom. It also shows me when they ate, napped, diaper changed, and all incidents with other kids etc. There is so much training and policy regulations that the staff have to navigate, as well as emotional and educational support that they put in place on an individual basis with all kids. I am thankful for their dedication to early childhood developmentt, and you should thank them every time you get the chance.
My granddaughter attends children’s village of Salmon creek. The staff are also very courteous, helpful and welcoming when I come in for pick up. The infant room is always clean and organized and the babies are all taken care of in a kind and loving way.
Little late to making a review but this happened in May 2024. I was taking my 2.5 son there for a few months while I had been back to work. He has gotten a diaper rash a few times and I mentioned something about it already. His last day there, I worked a 10 hour shift. I pick him up and he’s walking with his legs open saying mommy my booty hurts. I check if he has poop and doesn’t. So I wait til I get home and his rash is the worst diaper rash I have ever seen. It spread everywhere on his private parts down to his inner thigh , up his butt, very bright bright red. Absolutely enraged. I check his chart and he only got changed twice in a 10 hour span which was 2 poop diapers, who knows how long he was sitting in them. When picked up he wasn’t changed for the last 5 hours and had a huge pee diaper. When I looked he still had poop in between his crack that wasn’t fully wiped from when he did. No one failed to tell me about the terrible rash which was very obvious-there’s no way whoever changed him last didn’t see it, nor did anyone apply diaper cream that I provide for him there. I am absolutely enraged. I talked to the manager and she apologized said and in the preschool room they change them standing up so that’s probably why there was still poop in his crack, they could’ve changed his diaper more but probably didn’t put it in, and the solution would be if he poops to call and they will take him to a toddler room to change on a toddler table laying down . She said sorry a few times but still wasn’t the reaction I was expecting. I am never bringing my baby back there again ‼️ There is absolutely no excuse for this. This is straight neglect. I would post a picture but I don’t want to expose my son’s privates. Yes some staff are nice but this is absolutely NOT OKAY. So sad my baby had to go through this. He slept naked to air our the terrible painful rash, he was in so much pain. There was also another time when I got a call that there was a bead in his nose. I left work and wasn’t able to get it out so I had to take Jim to urgent care to get it out. They told me that this didn’t happen here. But when I dropped him off he had nothing in his nose? Absolutely taking no accountability and jumping quickly to blaming me…not even a thought that it could’ve happened at the facility? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
My nieces have attended Children's Village in Salmon Creek since they were infants and they are now school age children. Throughout their time there I have been welcomed to come visit, eat lunch with the girls, do activities with their classes, and talk to their teachers (with their parents' permission of course). They have made wonderful friendships with other children and have positive relationships with staff. In fact some of the staff are so close that they are like a second family to all of us. I feel comfortable knowing that my nieces are safe, engaged, and supported while in child care. Please if you are looking for child care stop by and take a tour to see for yourself.
I love my daycare!! The staff is AMAZING! My girls have been going to this daycare for 3 years and I could not be happier! My youngest has been going since she was 3 months old. I could not ask for better people to help raise my babies. They are so kind, patient and really take the time to get to know you. I am able to preform better at my job knowing my girls are being taken care of just as if it was me. Thank you Children’s Village for all that you do!!!
