My son has gone here since 3 months, and 15 months last I still drop him off every day knowing he is safe and cared for. Children’s Playland isn’t the fanciest daycare, but they are safe and have provided my son with love and care even during some really hard moments. They handled a medical emergency so good, the director even met me at the hospital and sat with me to support my son. I also love that Children’s Playland has made daycare doable for my family financially. They have generous scholarships, even when we didn’t qualify for CCAP. I am so grateful to them for that as the cost of daycare was always my number one concern. I’m looking forward to my son continuing to grow here in the future.

Unfortunately, this daycare has gone downhill since the original teachers and management left. While changes have been made, it’s clear that the previous team—particularly Danni and Jenni—created a welcoming environment where parents truly felt valued. The owner hides behind her director and lacks the knowledge needed to properly run a daycare. It honestly feels like this was a business decision rather than a passion, and that becomes clear in how things are handled. She didn’t even recognize my daughter. At this point, it feels very money-driven, and the warmth and care that once existed are gone. I’ve also lost contact with Danni and the other Black teacher from that classroom. If anyone has her contact information, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

My child really enjoys coming to this center. She enjoys being around all the children her age and is really learning a lot. She has learned how to sing her ABC's, she can count to 40 and she continues to develop and grow here.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨I’m only saying something because Google asked 🙄 Do not recommend this place. My child was 2years old when some/something supposedly gave my daughter nursemaid arm. Not to mention a staff member tried to fight me because she thought I was talking about her sister”had done something to my baby” but I had just told her sister that was my daughter teacher that I appreciate her and that I thanked her for being there for my baby. Not one time was I rude or disrespectful to any of the women here. & if it was a misunderstanding I let them know the correct intention. The crazy part is the owner was right there when her employee tried to fight me. I had to ask her was she on drugs ! If your baby can’t talk / or speak please play close attention if you have no OTHER CHOICE ! 💔 I lost my good paying $25.45hr JOB . I will never forget what this place did to us !

As promised, I was asked to complete a review 🙂 The best part of building a foundation is that you have the opportunity to be better and do better. As it says in 1 Corinthians 3:10-11, “By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.” This daycare gives children the chance to build a strong, supportive foundation. The owner is professional, welcoming, and clearly enjoys her work. The facility is clean and secure, with parent codes for entry, and she allows parents to stay briefly to help children get comfortable. The staff engage with children, sing with them, and avoid electronics for teaching. The daycare has set times for activities, but the schedule isn’t rigid, allowing for flexibility. On the first day, I mentioned and showed the teachers what potty time looked like for my son. I spent half a day supporting them in servicing him and sent his IEP information, but unfortunately, that information was not utilized. On the second day, there was a misunderstanding: my non-verbal son bit teachers because he was laid down for a pull-up change, which is not part of his usual routine—he is independent with changing himself at four years old. There wasn’t a puncture wound on the staff; as his behavioral therapist and mom, I knew this was his way of getting the teacher off him, not to cause actual harm. I appreciated the staff’s transparency and picked him up immediately. I deducted over one star for the extensive paperwork during the trial period. As a single working parent, filling out a full packet during a trial felt unnecessary. I also deducted a star for communication gaps—both with parents and among staff when room coverage changes. Overall, everyone was respectful, welcoming, and genuinely engaged with the children. They even provided a reference to a nearby daycare better suited for my son. I would rate this daycare 3.5 stars.
