What Parents Say
Children's Place receives mostly positive reviews praising staff professionalism, safety, cleanliness, and child development support, particularly in the pre-K program. However, two detailed negative reviews cite concerns about the owner's management style, unrealistic nap time policies (3 hours for 3-year-olds), facility size limitations, and incident reporting practices.
Safe, Clean & professional! Both of my boys have been going to children’s place since they were 1 & 4 and now they are 6 & 10 & THEY LOVE IT. I have never once had to worry about them while they are there & I have 100 peace of mind while I’m at work! The staff & owner are amazing and have always treated my children like family from the start. I would recommend this daycare to anybody with kids of any age over and over. Childrens Place is top tier!
My twin boys started to attend this daycare around 6 months old and stop attending around 4 yrs old. I never had any issues in the baby room, the staff was wonderful. When my boys got transferred into the toddler room I was a little bit scared because of the way some of the staff talked to the children but my boys warmed right up to 1 of the teachers and they loved her!! The best part of their whole time there was when they moved into the pre k class, the teacher is AMAZING, WONDERFUL, CARING.. my boys adored her and would always want to go back the next day to her class. They always talk about her like she was their best friend. She is beyond professional and understanding of all her children, she will be sure to make sure your child(ren) learn exactly what the school expects them to know when entering kindergarten. Unfortunately my boys no longer attend this center, and they will miss everyone there. I highly recommend this center, never go by the reviews. Everyone goes through their own experiences and everyone needs / child is different.
Patience! Love! And Structure! Three valuable things to look for in childcare and in just a short-time, thus is what my son and I have experienced!! I'm absolutely pleased and excited for my son to be here and I love how enthusiastic he has become about learning!! Great staff here and I'm overall extremely happy!! You would be too! 🙂
First I will say that most of the staff is wonderful. It’s unfortunate the owner (Marcella) is not. I was forced to find a new daycare in the middle of a global pandemic because she claims that my 3 year old won’t nap during nap time. The nap time is 1145am to 245 pm. This is completely unrealistic for anyone who actually knows what they are doing. She obviously does not. When my child then gets upset because she can’t sleep for 3 hours every single day wakes up other children. However the reason that this happens is because the daycare is so small. There’s no where for her to go when she wakes up. So I have to assume the owner just wants/needs a 3 hour break in the middle of the day. She honesty told us to start keeping my 3 year old up until 10 or 11 pm so maybe then she would sleep during their nap time. Now, I was also never notified that this was even a problem. Every piece of paperwork that was sent home stated she slept during nap time. On the second to last day she was at this daycare my child came home with a band aid over a laceration and bruising on her back. I was forced to sign an incident report saying she accidentally got pushed into a wall. This was also obviously a lie. She told me the name of the child that bit her and made it as clear as a 3 year can that she was bitten. This is absolutely unacceptable and I have to believe it is to hide it from us and any other authority. I am appalled at how not only my child, but myself and her mother were treated by the owner ( Marcella ) constantly being made to feel like my child was the problem when in fact it was her laziness, her lack of concern and her lack of ability to properly do her job. The teachers they have are amazing and I also feel bad for them to work under such a person. All I can say is to stay as far away from this so called daycare as humanly possible. Just imagine the type of person it takes, to force a 3 year old to leave in the middle of this global pandemic( both her mother and myself are essential workers) because a 3 year old won’t nap 3 hours a day. Really think about that.
My son has been going here for almost a year and he loves the teachers!
