I don't know why I'm shy about posting a review here, when I know I signed the release for my baby to be in any photos they post publicly! We sent our baby here since he was 3 1/2 months old. I loved the tour we took while I was pregnant, but it became a whole new emotional task to tackle feeling ok with infant care once we were dropping him off. After we saw him on the video and all the updates from his teachers on diaper changes, feedings, start and end times for his naps, I felt so much better. I'm SO glad that we kept him here ever since. He knows everyone and everyone knows him! He doesn't get separation anxiety here because he is so familiar with Lighthouse from such a young age. Ok he does get it when he moves up to the next classroom, but he gets a lot better after a week or so after he trusts the new teachers!! I read only a couple of studies on childcare and what makes it high quality is low staff turnover and with babies the same age. There are also the obvious things like their diapers are changed quickly and the facility is completely licensed and up to code. I saw their official recorded incidents and inspection results on the Texas childcare site. They had one small infraction and it was something minor to me, like a staff member forgot to make a toddler wash their hands before eating. I compared it to the results and incidents of other facilities in the area and it wasn't like any other facility had a sparkling clean record. It was good, actually, that there was something there. It means the inspection was done properly. This is becoming quite the blob of text! My point is that I love this childcare and that I've made a consistent environment for my child where he's growing, learning every day, and is loved and cared for by professionals, while I grow my own career. Update: We love it here. A friend who happens to have an in-home daycare had a spot open up and I hummed and hawed about it for a few days, but ultimately decided it's not worth the savings at this point. He needs school! He's learning so much there that we know we didn't teach him. 🥰
Our journey with children’s lighthouse began in August 2023, and it has truly been a blessing for our family. I have been consistently impressed by the level of understanding and accommodation provided by the staff. It’s been a challenging journey finding a daycare where my daughter feels comfortable and supported but this place has met my expectations in every aspect. Communication has been the cornerstone of our position experience. The staff at genuinely listen to my concerns, thoughts preferences and they are always ready to accommodate them. This level of attentiveness has not only eased my worries but has also strengthened my trust in their ability to provide the best care for my daughter. From a personal standpoint, I have felt valued and respected by the staff there. They take time to understand our family’s dynamics and tailor their approach accordingly. I wholeheartedly recommend to any parent seeking a daycare where understanding, Communication and personalised care are prioritised. My daughter has been attending Children's Lighthouse since she was 3 1/2 months old, and it has been one of the best decisions we made. We toured them about a month before I was due, and I knew I wanted a tour based on their many Best of Round Rock awards and high praise in mom groups. After the tour, I knew I found the place for my daughter. As a first time mom, I really appreciated the cameras in the infant room, which eased my worries when I was extra anxious that very first week of daycare. My daughter has been so loved on in every room she's been part of, and it's such a nice feeling to know that even teachers she hasn't been in a classroom with yet know her name too. The environment is just that personable. My daughter has a food allergy, and the extra care and attention to make sure she's safe is more than I could ever hope for. The entire staff is extremely communicative, and they always make sure to let me know of any concerns or inevitable bumps my toddler gets from falling as they do, haha. My daughter has also learned so much being there. She has picked up baby sign language, and she was crawling and walking within a week of moving to her new rooms and seeing the older babies hit those physical milestones. Placing your child in someone else's care can be so nerve wracking, but I can sincerely say that I very much trust all of the teachers and staff. I could go on and on, but I will forever be grateful to Children's Lighthouse for taking care of, loving, and teaching my daughter.
Children's Lighthouse has been great for both my kids. Their teachers and management are very caring. My older kid still goes there for after school care and it's the same high quality care as the daycare. We absolutely love it!
When I was looking around for daycares, Children’s Lighthouse in RR was highly recommended. As soon as we got in the car from our tour, my husband said “we’re putting her here.” The front office staff is always friendly and I have loved every teacher we come across. I love that they have cameras and send alerts of what my little is doing throughout the day. It made going back to work easier. They also provide meals and snacks in the older rooms. We are very happy here!
