Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center At Schertz

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would choose. This facility is not equipped to properly care for young children. In Room 7, children are “disciplined” by being yelled at and physically dragged to a corner for time-out. On multiple occasions during drop-off and pick-up, I witnessed teachers yelling at the children. Through the cameras, I often saw my child covering her ears during the day. She would also come home saying that “the teacher was very, very angry.” There is absolutely no reason a professional should be telling a child, “Sit down or I’m going to whoop you,” especially in front of parents. It is also unacceptable to respond with “I don’t care” when a child is expressing a need. Beyond the disciplinary concerns, there appears to be no structured curriculum in place. During the week my child attended, I monitored the classroom cameras and did not once observe a teacher reading to the children or engaging them in crafts or structured learning activities. The children remained seated at tables for extended periods, with books placed in front of them as if they were expected to read independently. My child came home overwhelmed and sad each day and frequently cried in the mornings because she did not want to go to school. The environment felt chaotic, with excessive yelling and no meaningful learning taking place. If you value your child’s education and overall well-being, I strongly recommend avoiding this facility.

Coming off Maternity Leave had me more anxious than it did with my first born. Likely because I was older and I just didn't consider as much back then. Finding Lighthouse was a blessing. Laura and Irma in room 1 have made me feel SO much more comfortable in leaving my baby to go back to work. My daughter LOVES them and smiles every morning I drop her off. So thankful for them and this lovely spot - Worth every penny!

I cannot express how grateful we are for Children’s Lighthouse! From the moment we enrolled our son, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, always going above and beyond to nurture each child’s individual needs. The environment is bright, engaging, and filled with a variety of educational activities that keep the kids excited to learn and explore. My son has grown so much in just a few months, both socially and academically. Additionally, the communication from the staff is excellent; we receive regular updates and feedback about our son’s progress as well as photos. I highly recommend Children’s Lighthouse to any parent looking for a safe and enriching place for their child.

As of August 28, 2025, my two sons attending this institution are in different age groups. This facility is our first time ever utilizing daycare. We couldn't be happier with our children's growth and socializing. The staff is outstanding and welcoming at the front end. My eldest really appreciates "Miss Gigi" and "Miss Caitlin" and has nothing but wonderful things to say after long days there. They have cameras if you want to check on your kids, and they send emails about what they eat and report minor injuries, which surprised me. There are always events and enjoyable dress-up days to look forward to for the boys. Looking forward to the future at Lighthouse of Schertz!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Every single teacher and staff member has treated my child with the kind of love, patience, and attention you hope for. Even teachers from other rooms. I love the structured curriculum, the fun activities, and the regular updates that keep me involved in what he’s learning and experiencing. The environment is clean, safe, and I’ve never once questioned if my child was in good hands. If you’re looking for a place where your little one will be truly cared for Children’s Lighthouse – Schertz is it. I’m forever grateful we found them.
