The Children’s Development Center in Raynham has been amazing for our family! My daughter absolutely loves it here. My fiance and I started our daughter here when she was just about 2! We have absolutely loved everything about it. Our daughter has learned so much and we know she is fully ready for kindergarten! We plan to have our other daughter to there as well. We also have made friends with some of the other parents there as well. Grateful for the family days that made that happen. Highly recommend children's development center.
Our daughter has been attending the CDC for the past 3 years, and is getting ready to go to Kindergarten in the fall. The CDC and all the teachers have become our extended “village”, a place we put our full trust in every single day knowing our daughter is in good hands. Her teachers, especially Miss Jaime, have become our trusted support system. Given the small size of the classrooms, it’s a very intimate setting in which the teachers really know the kids on a personal level. They provide a safe and structured learning environment, with enough free-play for them to be kids (water play in the morning during summers, gardening activities outside in the yard, building snow men in the winter). Kids don’t need a fancy play structure outdoors to be happy - they have everything they need right there. Every week’s curriculum is structured around a different letters of the alphabet, numbers, and themes (from dinosaurs to ocean animals, to whatever else you can think of). Academically I have zero concerns, I’ve been so impressed by how much our daughter has learned during her time there. They also put a big emphasis on teaching the kids to give back to the community, which we take as a catalyst to talk to our daughter about the importance of it. Every February they have the kids put together and hand out “bags of love” for Raynham’s retirement community, they have the kids write cards for people in need, they collect donations (clothing and food items) regularly for local causes. They also put a huge focus on connecting families with each other. We have made such good friends with other families from the center that I will cherish forever. Overall, I would highly recommend the CDC to anyone who is looking for a great learning environment for their child.
I really appreciate the dedication to service of this center. They did a bake sale to raise money to support our church’s mission trip to Guatemala. With the money from the bake sale, we bought paint and painting supplies for a project we did to paint a building at the Christian children’s camp in Guatemala.
