Children'S Center For Learning Of South Amboy

My son woke up with slightly red cheeks and seemed to be a little off. I took his temperature and it was 97.8. I took him to school (Pre-K) because that's what's expected out of a parent where attendance is concerned. The person who I think is the owner called for us to pick him up because he now has a fever. This in itself is no problem. The problem is, this "person" proceeded to very sarcastically ask if we didn't notice the red cheeks or take his temperature. The implication being what is wrong with you as a parent for not noticing these things, or not having the intelligence to keep your kid out of school. When confronted and informed that we did in fact take his temperature before sending him, the individual doubled down specifically on the red cheeks. I'm actually sitting there arguing with them about the multiple causes of red cheeks. Windburn came up because we were outside yesterday and his skin is fairly sensitive. Which is neither here nor there because there are so many reasons for rosy cheeks, and I have no idea why I actually engaged them on something that ridiculous. But I did, and I'm actually sitting there in a hallway having an argument about windburn and this person is actually making comments about not being able to get windburn inside of a house. It was the most surreal conversation I've had in a while and was like an episode of the Twilight Zone. This person, instead of taking any accountability for their words or behavior, instead accused my girlfriend of being stressed. No one wants to deal with people like this. If you're researching this place, I'd do my best to make sure my kid goes just about anywhere else if possible to avoid this person all together. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because everyone else seems pretty nice or competent.

Ms. Lisa, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Sam, and Mr. Zach have been wonderful. You can tell they truly care about the kids and love their job. As a first time mom, I was very anxious about sending my daughter to daycare. It is truly like a family there and it has been the best choice for our family. Thank you for taking such great care of my little girl! I highly recommend them!

My son started at this learning center September 2024, best decision my husband and I have made. Mrs.Lisa and her staff are fantastic people. I know my son is safe in their hands. Their schedule suits me and my husband work schedules so well. The school offers free lunches, and they follow the district curriculum. I have to say that my son looks forward going into class everyday, and sometimes he doesn’t want to leave. He loves his educators Ms. Shane and Mrs. Darci. We Highly recommend this learning center. PS: They have a private daycare, before care and aftercare if you need it.

Not a bad thing can be said about this child care center. I have had two kids already go through her school and currently have one enrolled. The teachers and staff are absolutely amazing. The class sizes are small, and they have a beautiful private playground. My older two can not WAIT to attend the summer program here! Thanks to everyone there for making it such a safe and comfortable place to leave your kids.

My child had gone here for the last 2 years and I recently enrolled my toddler. I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive, and the growth they’ve shown both socially and academically. It’s really nice to know I have somewhere I know my kids are safe and cared for while I get to focus on work through the day.
