Our kiddos have been at children's academy for 5 years. They love it there!! I chose children's academy for my own children because I worked for them back in 1999 and loved their philosophy and how they ran their business, not just for the families but also for the staff. They care about the children, families and the staff and know that consistency for children is important. The owner is hands on and a lot of the times you'll see her working alongside her staff. It's a hard decision to leave your children with other people but you will feel confident leaving them here.
My family has been utilizing Children's Academy for 4 years this month and we are only leaving now because we are moving out of state. My son started at 2.5 years old after I had been staying home with him for some time and I was going through a divorce so we needed to put him in daycare. I was so nervous and I didn't want to do it, honestly. They have become an extension of our family over the years and my son has done well there from day 1. When he started kindergarten, we were told many times that he was very well prepared and he continues to thrive socially and academically. When I got pregnant with my daughter, Children's Academy was the first call I made to get her on the wait list! The biggest "pro" is the staff and the owner - Miranda and Lynn have been amazing from day 1, and everyone that they bring in has been a pleasure as well. I've been continually impressed with the food and with the structure they provide. I've never had to worry about cleanliness or about the staff following their protocol and holding up their end of the deal. It is worth every cent. When my daughter was born, they didn't have a spot for her yet so we had to attend another daycare facility in the area. While it wasn't awful and there weren't any notable experiences, it was clear to me that the quality of Children's Academy cannot be matched. The new buildings are incredible - large classrooms, motivated teachers and smart, well thought out design all contribute to the great vibe and energy. They're patient people. The cameras in the classrooms were a huge sell for me - although I rarely feel the need to check them because when I pick up my kids in the evenings, they are always happy. In 4 years, I can count on one hand how many times I've felt they were upset about being at daycare which is pretty amazing (I don't know about you, but I complain about being at my office far more frequently than that)! It is a local business with a charismatic and genuine owner that has a great attitude - the kids love her and so do the parents. They are extremely open to feedback and are great communicators. I've loved being in a school that isn't a chain because I feel like they have more freedom to make decisions based on your child's needs. I am very sad to leave, but I'm so glad that we found them because they have proven to be a key part of our "village" in raising my babies. I highly recommend!
Our daughter has been enrolled here since she was 14 weeks old. I LOVE this place. She is now moving into the 2 year old room and we have enjoyed every single day at the children's academy. It is well run, the teachers are loving, kind and attentive. They have a fantastic curriculum and most importantly I have never doubted my child's safety or her happiness while in the care of this staff. I recommend children's academy to every parent I meet!
One of the biggest surprises of motherhood for me has been how enriched our daughters life has been by going to “daycare”. It gets a bad rap in some circles but I am here to say, it has enriched our lives with lasting friendships, where we’ve shared early childhood milestones and loved on each other’s kiddos with our peer parents. It has been more than what we ever would have anticipated. And to this day, our daughter loves going and is mad if we pick her up too early! She stared at 11 weeks old and though it was initially very hard, it so reassuring to see videos and know that who we entrusted her with took great care and responsibility in watching and guiding her! We are going into our sixth year, pandemic and all. Lynn, Miranda, Heidi and Candice have done an exceptional job in communicating and keeping a stable and reliable front in such unpredictable times. Thank you to our friends and teachers at Children’s Academy! Onward to Creekside and Kindergarten!
This is the best daycare ever! I can actually go back to work and know that my kids are in the best care possible! I love that they have cameras so I can check on my kids during the day when I miss them! My kids get excited to go here so I know that it is a good place for them to be! I love the owner and all of the staff they are wonderful!
