My experience with Children of America – South Elgin has been overall positive. The school isn’t perfect, but one thing I truly appreciate is that they continue striving to get better. There are occasional days when certain teachers don’t have the warmest attitude or don’t seem very approachable, which can make you feel like maybe they’re not happy to see you. However, the most important thing for me is my child’s safety, well-being, and daily experience—and in that area, I have not had any problems. My child is treated well, he’s learning and he enjoys his time there. I’m grateful for the consistency, the structure, and the efforts the staff puts in, even on the tough days.
All 5 of my boys have been in COA at one point or another (there ages are spread out) I have nothing but great things to say about both the facilities and staff. Front management has always been so helpful and flexible- especially Meghan, Natalie, and now Brenda. The teachers have gone above and beyond for my boys and I cannot be more grateful. My boys have been well cared for and have learned so much at such a young age.
I’ve attended several events at COA South Elgin for my nephew, and every visit leaves me genuinely moved. You can feel the love, dedication, and hard work the entire team pours into this center. The Director and Assistant Director put so much effort into everything they do — from planning events to supporting families and staff — and it truly shows. The classrooms are always busy, engaged, and full of excitement. The kids are learning, exploring, and genuinely happy. It’s such a beautiful environment to witness. If there were a COA where I live I would enroll my child in a heartbeat. South Elgin has set a standard of care and excellence that’s hard to find anywhere else.
As a great aunt, I’ve attended many events at COA South Elgin for my great-nephew, and every single time I am overwhelmed with emotion. There is something incredibly special about this school — something you can feel the moment you walk through the doors. The love, the joy, and the genuine devotion poured into these children is undeniable. The Director and Assistant Director are truly remarkable. You can see their hearts in every detail — every event, every classroom, every interaction. They give so much of themselves, and it shows in the way the children light up around them. Their leadership creates a warm, safe, and uplifting environment where kids genuinely thrive. The classrooms are always alive with learning and laughter. The teachers keep the children engaged, curious, and supported in such a beautiful, intentional way. Watching my great-nephew grow, learn, and blossom here fills me with so much pride and gratitude. I am beyond thankful that he attends COA South Elgin. This center is more than a school — it is a loving community, a safe haven, and a place where children are truly cherished.
