For all parents heads up: They do not return overnight emergency calls to the pediatrician. Additionally, they should be embarrassed at the amount of disorganization that happens in the Largo office. The nurses flipped my oldest daughter's height and weight and completed messed up her growth chart. They charge $20 for school paperwork per child just to turn around and hold the paperwork for 1 month or more. I called multiple time to ask about the status. One day I finally called and talked to a nurse that said the paperwork was complete. Then another nurse called my husband within 5 mins and told him my youngest daughter needed more bloodwork. When I called to question why she needs additional testing the nurse gave me a nasty attitude and claimed that she called me set an appointment according to her note. I had never talked to this woman in my life! Plus the appointment she was referring to had already happen! After some apparent research that should have happened two weeks prior, the lab company, Quest... lost my daughters blood (second occurance- the first time they spilled it) and the office failed to follow up. I will not visit this office again and if you are considering, you are in for a series of multiple disappointments. I wanted to like this office for so long, justifying small inconveniences, because I really like the doctor ONLY, however the office staff and some of the nurses at the Largo location are very incompetent and lack organization. If they cannot get paperwork, appointment scheduling, and result followup up correct, just imagine the true medical errors that get swept under the rug at this location. I stress this is not a safe place to get your child's medical care.

I’ve been taking my child to this location since he was born. When we first arrived to this practice, service was great. However, it has started to decline in the most recent years and months. I’ve been calling and trying to reach out to my child’s provider since the end of June without any response from anyone. The other recent reviews are actually startling, yet due to my recent experiences, not surprising. I will be pulling my child from this office and taking him to another office where children actually are first.

Like HELL. The Front Office Staff in Columbia scheduled myself & the patient at lunch (while office was closed) Had us standing outside for fifteen minutes, no apologies. NEVER ever provided lab results! My son lab work & results sits. How about my child was iron was low and I didn't know about until 3 years old. My child has been in the office in the current year 2024, how about 1 of his important vaccination has been ordered and sat for 2 - 3 years since 2022. Now his school is worrying me, I trusted Children First! It's always hard to get a trustful answer, people to their jobs and answer the phone. I HATE it, and hate Is strong word. I truly dislike the office. They are not strongly skilled. Their overall rating is a 2 star and it's true. It's overwhelming & over populated. Do BETTER CHILDREN FIRST LLC the providers don't care. Turn over of staff every year especially in Largo, MD.

Dr. Satuyi is great however the admin staff needs some work. They never answer the phones so be prepared for that. My son’s appointment was scheduled for 8:30am. We ended up walking out at 10:30am because they had us waiting for so long. When I arrived at 8:30am, the woman at the front desk told me his provider is late and won’t be arriving until 9:30am. It would have been nice to be notified about this earlier. Anyway, she gave us the option to wait or reschedule. I already took leave and my son was already late to school so I decided to wait. I asked her if it was okay to go get my son some breakfast while we waited for an hour. She had a nurse triage him first and then they said I can go get him breakfast. We left at 9:00am and returned at 9:25am. We waited again and were called to back to see the doctor and waited in the back for over 30 mins. When I asked why it was taking so long, one of the nurses said my son’s provider called out so they had to squeeze him in with a different provider. This was never communicated to me. I waited and waited. So unprofessional and inconsiderate of our time. I was so visibly upset that I thought it was best to leave and not return. This was about 10:30am. Our babies are the most important thing to us as parents. It’s important that they are cared for and respected by the doctors and the admin staff alike. I hope Children’s First gets it together because it wasn’t always this way.

I had to update this review they changed staff and they are still RUDE and unprofessional. I was told to talk to the office manager and she walked past me as if she wasn’t informed that I was going to be speaking to her. Also after she made jokes with the staff that I wanted to notify were unprofessional. This practice should be investigated for insurance fraud and they need to take courses on professionalism. Do not take your children to this practice there are other African American professional providers in the DMV area.
