What Parents Say
Child Roots Center for Young Children in Portland receives consistently high praise from parents across multiple reviews. Parents highlight the warm, safe environment, attentive staff, and strong community feel, with particular appreciation for how the center maintained quality care through the pandemic and major life transitions.
Both of our boys attended Childroots Southeast for the majority of their daycare/pre-k years. Our first child was a part of the community during the trying Covid period. Through all the challenges we found that the level of care was very good. The team does a great job training staff and keeping a high level of consistency and continuity in the classrooms even when the childcare profession itself was disrupted by events like the Covid lockdown and changes brought on by passage and expansion of universal pre-k for all. It's been a wonderful journey and we feel really fortunate to have had our children's early years be supported by the Childroots community.
Childroots was a warm and welcoming home for our two-year-old! Her best interests were advocated for, we appreciated the steady daily communication, and, best of all, she loved attending. We felt confident knowing she was safe and happy.
Safe and warm experience for kiddos from baby to little kid. Very attentive teachers and staff.
We are so grateful to have had a safe and loving environment for our son since July 2020. While there, he has weathered the pandemic, my cancer treatments, and the arrival of a little sister. Despite all that, his teachers and directors have helped him develop into a kind and curious little man who will go on to thrive in kindergarten next month. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t start him at Childroots as an infant because it’s in such high demand! Our daughter was lucky and has been there since she was 8 weeks old. We look forward to having her grow at Childroots until it’s her time to graduate.
We have loved having our daughters at ChildrootsNW for the past five years. The teachers are amazing with the kids and serve as knowledgeable guides for the parents through the many phases of early childhood. There is a really strong community that develops within our cohorts (classrooms) between families, teachers and students.
