I love this place in Mesa. Their parenting classes are extremely effective. I have been taking parenting classes since my daughter was 6 months old. They used to have a Baby Sign Language class that helped clarify communication between my daughter and I before she could speak. Child Crisis Arizona's classes have given me priceless tools to limit power struggles, while increasing my daughter's self esteem and resilience over the years. Coming from a violent dysfunctional family, I was able to use tools like "When you.... then I will...." to direct my daughter to execute tasks with no resistance. These classes continue to be a lifesaver for my family. I am excited to start the 6 week series of Parenting Teens tonight to continue to ensure that my daughter has the the best age appropriate coping skills needed to stand up to the pressures of vaping and other substance abuse common in the high school culture. Over the years, they have changed locations and have finally settled into their new expanded location off Country Club in Mesa. The new location has beautiful live plant walls, unlike anything I have seen before. It is also extremely energy efficient. People I have referred are also stunned not only with the beauty of the new location, but also with the effectiveness of the parenting tools. The instructors are knowledgeable and give helpful tips throughout the in person and virtual classes. They seem very accepting and encouraging stating "When you know better, you do better". I have encouraged many people to invest the time in order to expand their parenting skills toolbox, while limiting the possible involvement with CPS. As a result of the parenting classes, I have an extremely close relationship with my 15-year-old daughter. I love that she sees me as an allay instead of a dictator.

I love Child Crisis AZ! I was in the infant program while I was pregnant with my son, and now he is a student. They have small class sizes and a curriculum that supports my son's social, emotional, and creative development. Miss Rosario is an awesome teacher along with her helpers, Miss Stephanie, Miss Flo, and Miss Dawn. My son's favorites are my Family Support Specialist Gabby and Miss Char. Even if you're waitlisted, it is so worth the wait. The support, encouragement, and assistance they provide are unlike any other program I've ever participated with. 5 ***** for CCA, thank you for everything you've done and do and will do for my entire family. I couldn't have accomplished what I had in such a short time without you!

Elsa is a wonderful help when it comes to needing help finding resources for housing. Chelsea is a very talented instructor. I feel very comfortable and at ease while attending parenting classes. My kiddos really enjoy attending the monthly activities that they put on as well.
