My brother was transferred from another facility when he was in danger of losing his toes. Not only did they do the proper care to save his toes and heal his wounds but has taken his first steps in over a year. So grateful for the care he received

My wife and I thinks this place needs help. My wife tells me constantly that things don't get done on time or not at all. She is still there so I can't be to specific. Phone calls are not returned . Simple things like brushing her teeth and getting her a shower are done little or not at all.Have meeting to improve her being taken care of better go undone and unanswered. A lot of the problems are that the nurses are terribly understaffed and have to much work to be able to take care of the patients properly. I wish I could afford a better place for my wife but I can't and it breaks my heart having to leave her there after a visit. If you can afford a better place then I recommend doing it. Well, Well, I had to lower my review to a one star. I wish that you had a negative star because this place has become even worse. Something NEEDS to be done with Nursing Homes and their inferior and sometimes Deadly Treatment of patients. It took over 45 minutes for somebody to get her a drink of water. 2 1/2 hours to change her wet bed sheets. Both #1 & #2. Please if you can afford a better place for your loved ones. I Will for ever regret sending her to this place. Please don't make the same mistake that I did.

My mom was only at the nursing home for three weeks before she passed. I was nervous about placing her there because she had been there for a month 3 yrs ago when it was Autumn Lake and I wasn't truly happy with the care she had received at that time. It's been under new management since November. I felt the care she received this time was very good.during the short time she was there. The staff seems to work well together. The staff was very attentive, friendly and caring. They welcomed suggestions and were very forthcoming with information about my mom's care and how they were treating certain medical issues.

The contrast between his previous nursing home and Chestertown Nursing and Rehab is nothing short of remarkable. This level of cleanliness was sorely lacking in the previous facility, and I deeply regret not moving my father-in-law here sooner. Moreover, the kindness, patience, and professionalism of the staff members have been exemplary. The care they have shown towards my father-in-law has not only made his stay more comfortable but has also provided our family with immense reassurance. The regret of spending a year at a subpar facility is overshadowed by the immense gratitude we feel for finding Chestertown Nursing and Rehab. It is currently under new ownership, called Chestertown Nursing and Rehab. When I was first looking for a facility, I was very nervous about leaving my mother. But I must say dealing with the team at Chestertown I realized the work that the new management team has put in to make sure that the smallest details are taken care of for the patients and for the Nursing Staff, are highly impressive. They made the process easy and simple for me and am so far very satisfied.
