Chesterbrook Academy

Our son has been attending Chesterbrook Academy since he was two. Chesterbrook has been a blessing for our family as our son has grown and developed so much since attending there. This year our son has Ms. Lashanda Downing in Room 7. Ms. Lashanda is an amazing teacher with a great classroom structure as our son is thriving in the environment she has established. We feel great about the academic progress he is making under her guidance as he prepares for kindergarten next year. Ms. Lashanda is the perfect teacher for our son this school year. We also appreciate the administration as they have been very supportive as well.

Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Teaira in Classroom 5 are phenomenal. My son enjoys them and what they bring to the classroom. Drop-offs are smoother than ever and I’ve been told that he’s made a 180 in the “bad” behavior department. When we first joined last year, his toddler room teachers understood him. Things got rough at the start of this year but we’ve found our sweet spot. My baby just needed structure, stimulation, forecasting when switching from activities (he’s only three), and a classroom ready for work and play when he arrives in the morning. Chesterbrook as an educational outfit seems to be receiving a much needed facelift. The leadership at this location has changed and the ship is running smoother with better communication and engagement. The Admin have always been so helpful and loving towards my son and I. My husband and I are pleased with everything thus far and look forward to growing with Chesterbrook Academy.

Miss Lashanda is a wonderful preschool teacher who truly cares about the growth and well-being of her students. She has a warm, welcoming presence that makes children feel safe and excited to learn. Her creative teaching methods, combined with her patience and understanding, help each child thrive. She fosters a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to express themselves. Miss Lashanda's dedication and kindness make her an exceptional educator. We appreciate you so much!!

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at this preschool, and I can’t say enough good things about it. From day one, the staff has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I always felt confident and at ease dropping off my two sons because I knew they were in a safe, caring environment. They were especially attentive to my son’s food allergies, which meant the world to us. Their communication, attention to detail, and genuine concern for his well-being gave us so much peace of mind. Both of my boys grew, learned, and thrived here, and we truly felt lucky to be part of this community. I know I and my sons will genuinely miss seeing the wonderful, friendly staff each day. They’ve made such a positive impact on our family, and we’re so grateful for everything they’ve done. Highly recommend!

My son has been attending this school for two months, and he has grown tremendously in that short time. He has made so many new friends and has begun recognizing his letters after falling behind at his previous school. All of the staff and administration have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, helping him adjust to both his new school and our new community since we recently moved to the state. We’re so grateful for the positive environment they’ve created—it has made such a difference for our family.
