What Parents Say
This facility appears to be a technical college/vocational school rather than a daycare center. Reviews are mixed, with praise for quality instruction, supportive staff in certain departments, and successful program completion, but criticism regarding course availability, inconsistent grading practices, and poor administrative responsiveness.
I went here for Welding 2 years ago and graduated. The program was great. Taught by great instructors who were willing to teach as long as you’re willing to listen and learn! The Graduation was Exceptional. I just wish pipe welding was Mandatory and not an elective unless they changed since I went. Cause Pipe and Flux core Welding were both electives when I attended. I chose flux core. Cause you’re going to make more money traveling doing pipe! Shutdowns etc!
I don’t understand WHY it is so hard to get a hold of registrar. This school has been absolutely insane to get a hold of to figure out if they’ll take credits from SNHU. I’ve had to deal with a good bit of struggle from this school and I haven’t even been able to sign up for classes. Why are they acting like a prestige university that’s too busy to answer e-mails or phones?
This is the worst school I’ve ever been to. I have been to two other schools. They don’t know what they are doing here. My financial aid apparently doesn’t get refunded in full because a lot of people take advantage of the financial aid so now we have to wait every 3 months to get small amounts of refund. They also are rude or don’t know what they are talking about when you ask them questions at the office. Bookstore lady’s are also the worst. I’m regretting even applying to this school, no wonder dropout rates are so high.
Mrs. Smith, in the Care Center at the Macon location, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I asked several questions and called more than once and yet she didn’t make me feel as if I was bothering her. She is the sweetest and most helpful person I have ever talked to at CGTC.
After an unfortunate situation in 2022, I returned to school while raising my son and working full-time. It was a tough balance, and though I gave it my all, I struggled. When I faced challenges and tried to advocate for myself, the school showed little support. I’ve decided to continue my education elsewhere. Very disappointed in how things were handled.
