What Parents Say
Central Day Care Center in Traverse City receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, engaging activities, and transformational leadership under Director Lindsay. The facility has reportedly improved significantly in recent years and maintains strong parent communication. However, a small number of parents reported scheduling reliability issues and difficulty reaching staff.
We have been so happy with our experience at Central Daycare Center. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and attentive to the children. The director Lindsay has a huge heart and passion for helping families and the assistant director Jackie is so welcoming and supportive. The whole staff take the time to get to know families and you can tell they enjoy connecting at family events. We didn’t know much about CDCC when we signed our child up and we were instantly impressed by the love and care our child received. As an educator myself I would definitely recommend CDCC to families looking for childcare in the area!
This is a bit of a drive for us, but so worth it, and I know our daughter is in great hands! Was very impressed from the start with the Director, Lindsay. She is absolutely on it and is a great communicator. And it looks like she has really turned this place around since she has been there. We absolutely love Ms. Emily. I highly recommend Central Day Care.
My daughter has attended CDCC since 2021, when she was a year old. This week is her last week before she moves on to kindergarten. Over the past four years we were very happy with CDCC. Our daughter was always cared for, and she was happy with her school. We witnessed so many great changes over the past few years that has made tremendous improvements for the kids. We can’t thank the teachers and staff enough for taking care of our child. The teachers were always kind and caring. I also had an amazing opportunity to volunteer, and take an active part in my daughter’s child care center. It’s sad leaving, and we are so thankful to the teachers, administrators, and volunteers at CDCC for caring about the children. We will miss you!!
The new director has turned this place around. We briefly had our kids here 18 months ago, then moved them to the YMCA. When YMCA announced they lost their lease, we move our kids back here. It’s been a night and day difference between then and now. The new director is deeply engaged and clearly cares about the success of the school. This seems to have had a massive trickle down effect across the rest of our staff. My youngest runs to her room the moment we get to school (and won’t even hug me goodbye because she’s so excited). My oldest complains when I pick her up too early since she doesn’t want to leave school. The kids are doing an activity nearly every day. Both are counting better, talking better, and overall more confident. My oldest _wants_ to brush her teeth ever since they learned about teeth. It’s been a pleasant surprise to see how much they’re flourishing here.
Our 2 & 4 year olds just started going here and it’s the best daycare! All the teachers are so sweet and Jackie has been amazing with coordinating everything since we’ve started. My oldest tells me everyday how much he loves it here! We’re excited for the new food program that Shanee has started. Can’t say enough how good they do up there!
