This place has literally changed my whole life! My two children and I was invited to come check out the place and to see if it was a good fit for my children and I (we were sleeping in our Jeep) That was September 7,2023 we left there May 5,2025! When you surrender to God it’s not about what YOU want but what GOD WANTS YOU TO DO! Every staff member including the volunteers there literally adopted us and helped us in ways I never ever knew was possible. We got involved in counseling, the discipleship program (which we graduated from 🙌🏽) parenting classes, financial literacy classes, etc…I now have structure in my life, something I never had before. This place is no “quick fix” a lot of people go there looking for housing, but once you sit down and let God do his job you’ll see that you can do much better than housing. Ms. Patrice would say “get yourself together so you can choose your own ZIP Code instead of letting the housing authority pick one for you” and that’s what happened to me! I stayed down until I was fully able and prepared to pick where I wanted my babies and I to live. A safe neighborhood. Living there my mindset completely changed I will forever be thankful for those people. I renewed my CDL while living there, my chaplain took me to every single appointment I had (dentist, DMV,etc) yes they have rules but if you need help like I did then you’ll follow those rules so you can get the help you need! Amazing programs for the children, parents, and single ladies. The holidays there are absolutely phenomenal especially Christmas and back to school time they literally spoiled my kids and I, I’m truly blessed to have passed through this place now we’re thriving because of COH ❤️🥹

I stayed here over a year ago for about four months, and my experience was amazing. They had strict rules, but they made sense and were reasonable. My caseworker, Miss Gwen was a true blessing—sweet, kind, and incredibly motivational. She believed in me during a very stressful time of being homeless, helping me believe in myself. As someone of faith, I found strength in our prayers together. The rules regarding cleaning and chores were manageable, and my kids loved it there, feeling cared for and respected. Thanks to the support I received, I was able to move into my own place with my family, a significant accomplishment for me. I’m grateful for the kindness and encouragement I experienced. I hope to volunteer someday to help other women, just as I was helped in this program.

Nice place but the disrespect you receive from the chaplain is unnecessary. He's not there to help. He's there to judge and kick you out for no good reason. Id sleep on the streets then go back there. He needs to be removed.
