I was in the ER yesterday. Treatment consisted of the doctor ordering tests and therapies, exclusively to cover his ...s. There was absolutely no consideration of what was in my best interest. Defensive medicine is always bad medicine. So this is a message to Dr. Urban. I did not have a stroke and I do not have sepsis. Today, I am afebrile, walking, talking and and feeling fine. If you would have taken a history and examined me, your diagnoses would have been more correct. So much for your diagnostic abilities. Glad I left when I did.
The ICU group was great until after day 3 my husband was moved to a diff floor and no one knows anything about him. The Dr Donohue who was supposed to order MRI with premeds for his allergy’s never happened. No calls nothing from her explaining why he was drugged and never had MRI. Terrible!! I left my husband overnight in good hands ,so I Thought!! Not sure what is next as he is being drugged again to get (hopefully) MRI tonight. No Dr in sight just words from a nurse who knows nothing about my husband. Unbelievable!! I am afraid to leave him
11/1/25 I was just in the hospital with my you ger sister after she recieved a burn on her leg. Her nurses, more specifically Addison. H a nursing student, were absolutely wonderful. My you ger sister who is 8 was able to actually have fun and a non-traumatizing experience with her there. The other nurses and doctors were wonderful yes, but her in specific stood out. Overal at the hospital we got immediate care and were out in a hour or so with amazing and experienced doctors and nurses. This was the last place I wanted to be today, but it wasnt the worse.
The long story short: The hospital staff themselves are great, but there is one specific person I wanted to put a warning out about in case you go here, because he blatantly lies and genuinely does not care. The medical staff (nurses/doctors/surgeons) here very clearly care and are taking good care of the patients as well as being very knowledgeable, patient, and informative. However, the Care Coordinator Stephen Kim ("social" worker) has lied profusely and made the aftercare portion of this process a nightmare. His lack of communication and then intentional miscommunication are unacceptable, especially in his role. If you do go to this hospital and are in need of a care coordinator, you would be wise to ask for someone else. Other than this issue, thus far it's been a positive experience. We believed a lot of what he said until it was over a week in the ICU and very clear that he wasn't "super busy", just not being honest with families and causing excess stress on the patient that she literally can't afford/manage to have while recovering from this type of procedure. He repeatedly dismissed the idea that there was a Medical Power of Attorney form, despite it definitely being on file. He lied a lot about what was going to happen next, telling us it was "all dealt with and figured out before the surgery", even though it's not. He refuses to give information to the Medical Power Of Attorney, stating bluntly "I already talked to the patient about this", despite being informed several times that she's got memory issues. He does not care, is extremely impatient, and honestly has no business doing this kind of work if this is how he treats people. I am not the type to complain about medical staff being busy; I know they go through a lot. He has made it very clear at this point that he's too busy to even do his job, though, and has cost us thousands of dollars because of his lies and incompetence. I only post this to warn other patients; this isn't me venting on the internet or anything, just want you all to know who to watch out for if you end up in intensive care under his purview. The hospital staff themselves have been wonderful, but this person specifically has caused a lot of pain in an already painful situation. I'd hate to see anyone have to go through that without first knowing about it.
I came to the emergency with the worst pain, but went home with a big smile! The staff was very active and caring — they did all the tests quickly, and the reports came fast too. The doctors and nurses were awesome, and the service started the moment I stepped in. Thank you so much to the whole team for such amazing care! 💐
