What Parents Say
Celebration Childrens Center receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviews praise caring, attentive staff and child development. However, negative reviews cite significant operational issues including frequent late openings, unexpected closures, inconsistent reimbursement policies, high staff turnover, and concerns about leadership.
In my opinion, this is one of the most unfair daycares I’ve ever sent my kids too. They close and don’t reimburse or even offer 50% back something to make it fair to parents. When they do close you have to ask every time if they are going to reimburse. They decided with such a short timeframe they won’t be open Christmas Eve because they feel they don’t have enough kids coming attendance wise, even though it’s not a scheduled closed day. Not everyone’s jobs are closed around or on the holidays. It just blows my mind. People select daycares because they are supposed to be reliable. They also close early the first Friday of every month. Literally the hardest day for any employee to get out early or off from work. Why not do a Tuesday or Wednesday. They don’t offer sick days or vacation days like other daycares yet charge more or just as much in my opinion. They have raised their tuition every year my kid has been there. The teachers in the room itself are good and caring but higher administration needs some work along with their policies to make it fair to both the daycare and the parents.
My son has had a great experience so far, and for a child who struggled with transitioning into this new routine the staff and center has been nothing but supportive and caring to him and us as a family. They are always welcoming and attentive, willing to communicate and tell us about his day! He is always busy and I cannot be happier with his care here at Celebrations!
The staff are attentive, kind and caring. My son has grown close to them in a short period of time and he’s made major strides in development since enrollment. The center itself is clean and well kept. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the daycare decision we’ve made by choosing Celebrations.
Just this year, I must have stood outside the gate about 20 times waiting anywhere from 5-15 min because they were waiting on staff to get to work. I understand once or twice, but it’s two or three times a week. I have to get to work too, and it’s extremely stressful for me when I am running behind. Some teachers are good, but most are extremely young or inexperience, and there is a lot of turn over. Sometimes I see kids bawling, and teachers are busy doing other things. I feel bad for them. I wish I can stay and take care of them sometimes. Then the teachers always have the music so loud. Infants and toddlers have really good hearing—why do they make it so loud that people have to almost yell to hear each other? And for a while, they had really obnoxiously loud alarm that went off every time the gate opened. For couple months, they closed couple days a week early—just all of the sudden. It went on for months. We were lucky that my in-law and great aunt took turn picking up kids, but what about parents without relatives? There is a lot of early sudden closures. I have never seen a daycare like this before.
Terrible Director for many reasons; emotional immaturity, an inability to lead her staff and lacks the ability to accept responsibility for the many mishaps she initiates. My advice to families looking for care in this area would be to find somewhere else, or get on a waiting list.
