Cedar Crest Academy has been a wonderful experience for our family. We’re especially grateful for Ms. Brunetta and her incredible leadership—her warmth, professionalism, and dedication truly set the tone for the entire school. From the moment we joined, the environment has felt so welcoming, and the communication has been outstanding. We always felt informed and supported every step of the way. What truly sets Cedar Crest apart is its strong academic foundation, even in the early years. During his time in preschool and pre-K, our son not only had fun and felt genuinely cared for, but he also learned how to read and developed impressive math skills for his age. It’s amazing to see how much he has grown both socially and intellectually. Beyond the classroom, the school fosters a strong sense of community. Events like the winter and spring performances are a wonderful way for families to come together and celebrate the students' learning and creativity. The joy and pride on the kids’ faces during these moments say it all. We feel so fortunate to have been part of the Cedar Crest community. It’s a special place that blends academic excellence with heart.
My daughter completed Preschool and Pre K at the Park Highland campus of Cedar Crest Academy while my son is in the middle of of his second year at the school. The experience has provided them the early skills they will need to be successful readers and has given them a leg up in math as well, while emphasizing values of good citizenship. Further, I know that the staff and teachers care about the kids and families that attend CCA. They have the kids best interests at heart, and strive to provide good communication to families, a safe environment and a great learning experience for the kids.
This is our first year in Cedar Crest Academy Park Highland, and this is also the first year for our son to attend a center based childcare/school. He barely spoke any English before this, but he trusted his teachers very quickly because they are patient and care about him which makes it a smooth transition. Other than the academic focused activities, there're also lots of enrichment activities offered by the school and amazing parent association. I can tell how excited my son is when he have those enrichment experiences. He cannot stop talking about it at home.
Our daughter goes to Pre-K and we really love Cedar Crest for multiple reasons 1. The teachers work closely with parents to not only understand the child's needs but work to provide a much more individualize focus and support. 2. The school provides lunch and they are very helpful working with us on dietary constraints ( vegetarian). 3. High teacher student ratio, which works well with #1 4. In addition to academic development, the school focuses on a well rounded development of the child. They focus on values, behaviors as well as extra curricular enrichment 5. Last but not the least, in addition to regular communications from class room teachers, you can expect to hear from Ms. Brenda the director regularly as well
My older son attended CCA Park Highland couple of years ago and my younger son currently attends preschool at this campus. I am very delighted with both the academic as well as personality development focus for young kids. There are numerous class room activities starting from writing alphabets to numbers to fun craft work to singing\dance performances. They also have a covered patio at the back for kids to play when it rains, which is very useful for Seattle weather. We get daily updates for classroom activities with kids photos as well as the daily log for each student. This gives me a good idea about how my son spends time, did he eat enough for snacks\lunch or did he take a nap. Their recent school renovation speaks up for their high quality and aspirations. For me personally, the highlight of this campus is the campus director, Mrs. Brunetta, who is full of energy and optimism. She is very accommodating and understanding, which makes us feel very comfortable especially in the current COVID situation when there are ample uncertainties. They follow strict health protocols during the pandemic to ensure the safety of teachers and students. I would highly recommend this campus as it offers well-rounded facilities for kids and also addresses parents anxiety graciously.
