It's close to everything in the rural community here so you don't have to drive to Albany or Schenectady or Cobleskill in Amsterdam if you want to get a good workout in without being out in the elements. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because in the workout room it's Compact and the equipment is pretty close to every other piece of equipment in there so it can get kind of tight if there are more than 10 people in the workout area at any given time. But I have not seen that many people in there yet the basketball court is beautiful and new there is also a nice lap pool with a jacuzzi locker rooms are very clean as well. And friendly staff don't forget them!
Plan was to Join The community center back when it opened only reason we did not is because we talked to members who said they had to signed up to use anything & always their was someone using pool or workout rooms. Another thing was their membership fees where way over priced. The fact that your paying to use equipment & always being told no that room is full Seems like The place is ran by radical control freaks. Hopefully now that its A YMCA its under New Management. & do not have a long list sign up sheet. Other wise it needs to be reported to YMCA headquarters because they have to all be ran a certain way that does not require a fake sign of sheet. According to rules & reglations. Its a Public Facility that takes Public funds.
Love going here!! Gym is great and everyone is friendly! Staff is great and programs for the kids are by far the best!! From swimming lessons to after school care!! Im a happy member!
Great place to workout and meet a lot of great people. I go there every weekday.
