Cdi Head Start - Bristol/South Center

My daughter was bit at school by another student named Kevin. I was not contacted or told upon arrival. My daughter’s teacher Ms. Fran said she didn’t know what happened. I had to have my daughter and another child tell me what happened and who the child was. The teacher disclosed nothing yet said an incident report was filled and given to the other parent of the child who bit her. Another teacher from a different classroom named Ms. Brenda said she was going to have Val (the school manager) contact me tomorrow. She never did. It wasn’t until I went in the next day and demanded to see Val, which she has no clue what was going on, that I decided to withdraw my daughter. Val, Ms. Fran and whoever that third woman was in the room (Carrie? Terry?) had no clue as to how to proceed with my daughter’s attack. They disclosed nothing - no safety plan, no disciplinary action, no details, no sense of urgency, no mention of preventive measures) with they exception that they would try to keep my daughter and Kevin apart. It’s almost laughable that people like this are put in charge. Prior to this second incident, my daughter has an accident on the playground where she has a bruises and scrape on her forehead. The staff here are completely neglectful and unresponsive to my daughter’s situation. I withdrew her immediately and she is currently on antibiotics after seeing a medical professional for the open wound she has on her leg.I want to not worry about my child's safety the 6 hours she's in school where I am not able to parent or protect her. I am leaving her with what I thought were capable faculty in their hands. I want to see the video from the camera in the classroom that caught this attack. I want someone to be held accountable for this, whether it be replacing the teacher, suspending the child and placing him in behavioral therapy, or getting him the help he needs to address this aggression, albeit in another facility that can better attend to his needs and actual directors who can facilitate this program who know what they are doing and don't stare doe-eyed when confronted about a child under their guidance.

The staff are amazingly supportive and wonderful with the kids! It's a great program!
