What Parents Say
CCS Early Learning in Chugiak receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, quality preschool preparation for kindergarten, and community involvement. One parent expressed concern about educational depth, but the majority highlight strong teacher-student relationships and comprehensive services including enrichment programs.
Great preschool program with wonderful teachers and staff. Feel very blessed to have my son going there. Really helps to ready him for kindergarten. With his asthma and getting sick I really worry about him missing school and this helps us better prepare for his continuing education, putting plans in place, figuring out what works and doesn’t work so we can make sure he’s happy and successful now and in the coming years. Thank you for your patience CCS Chugiak! Ms. Serena, Ms. Patty, and the bus driver, Mr. Matt, really make the kids feel welcomed and cared about. When kids love learning at an early age, it really sets them up for a successful transition into grade school and beyond. The office/administration ladies are amazing too. They’re always there to answer questions and help any way they can. They’ve helped us out a lot already. Thank you CCS Chugiak for a job well done!
My youngest son went here as a pre-schooler and had enrichment services for general medical follow-up. He did his Eagle Scout project here in 1999-2000, collecting books for their library. His goal was something like 1,000 and he was able to procure well over 4 or 5,000. This center has always had a special place in our family's heart. The lot is clean and there is a fenced dog play area; I don't know if membership is required to use it. People congregate there on several week-ends a month during the summer, and run their dogs through obstacle courses, etc. I enjoy getting out and just hiking through the area.
So much more them just preschool and finger painting....awesomely amazing community service and out reach centers. Dunleavy is a fool for try to cut their funding this year without them so many special needs kids would get brushed under the rug by the system please support or lobby if you can't donate to keep them open.
The people here treat a child's education more like a daycare instead of a school. Be prepared to be underwhelmed at the educational opportunities begrudgingly offered. 0/10, would not reccomend.
This place is absolutely amazing. I see them as family. They have taken very good care of myself and my boys.
