Decent, they are lacking a some key bar and free weight options available at other gyms (ez-bars, etc), sauna and steam room (smells like feet/mold) should be cleaned more frequently. Pool is great, and there is a dress code for the pool, but apparently not the gym, where many younger women come in and workout in modern underwear. There are young boys here. I would expect this at other places, not the Y with so many kids.

Update late-June 2024: They are correct, the HVAC must have been down that day. It is now a day away from summer and 95 degrees out and the gym feels fine inside today. April 2024: The Y is as expected but it has one big design flaw. The weight/gym is on the second story and surrounded by window walls. It's now April and 77 degrees out and the sun is coming in the windows turning it into a sauna, plus 2nd story and heat rises, plus there are NO FANS installed. The windows are tinted but the sun is glaring through the windows, and the tint has nothing on the strength of that sun. It's like working out in a greenhouse. I'm dreading how hot it'll be in Summer when we are in the 90s and/or triple digits. Had to end my workout early today due to these conditions.

Don’t recommend this place for swim classes for younger children. The instructor (who is amazing which is the only reason I’m giving it two stars) was out for two weeks within our month.. the subs do nothing…Absolutely nothing to keep the littles engaged, and nothing to help the parents teach the children, which is NOT what we paid for. I get teachers need subs.. but at least make sure they know children and the words to wheels on the bus… 🙄

The staff at the Carlisle YMCA childcare center lacks many things.. They are all young volunteers or young “teachers” who have no children of their own to offer real life experience. Communication amongst the center is terrible. Everyone will say how wonderful your child is & then the director will send you a nasty message bringing something to your attention you weren’t even aware of.. save your time & money. Unless you want your child to be thrown on the playground with children of all ages ranging from 1-5 years old for most of the day with their expectation of them all acting right... They are good at throwing parties for the kids but god forbid a 1 year old doesn’t know how to properly regulate their emotions or have better impulse control they’ll start making accusations that your kid has a developmental problem... not to mention, after having our son evaluated by his doctor he was certain the daycare was the issue & insinuated they were not equipped to handle children’s normal developmental behaviors. Most importantly, the fact that the directors daughter was starting in our sons class was the prime reason he was kicked out after being given SEVEN days to turn his behavior around, A ONE YEAR OLD. The situation is laughable, since it’s clear they don’t know how to handle the children at their center. While they only had 3 students in his classroom, the new center we recently switched to has 16 & they truly know how to handle each and every one of them all at the same time!
