Carla'S Kids

This is the most honest review you can find about Carla’s Kids from a parent who had their child in their day care for 3 years. For starters, Carla is inaccessible, non responsive, and unprofessional with her staff. The staff is caring but not well guided. It isn’t their fault, it all falls on management. The facility takes random days off including a week in November for some sort of convention that they definitely do not attend. You’ll see inconsistencies throughout your time with dealing with them. They claim to be a school but when you hold them to that standard they become offended at parent feedback. They claim to be a school but fail to provide parents with a simple lunch menu so the parents are aware of what their child is eating. They claim to be a school but fail to distribute adequate homework and or express curriculum. I have recently made a switch in day cares and I can say that after one day I felt as if I was doing a disservice to my child for 3 years because it is night and day. After 1 day! My child was suffering with a cross eye and they labeled her as different. They called my wife and I to pick her up because her face was “sagging”. We expressed that our daughter only needed glasses and we were waiting on an appointment. They were not understanding and demanded that our daughter be picked up until we provided the necessary documentation. After doing our due diligence my wife and I were able to get a rapid appointment from our pediatrician. Even our pediatrician was suprised as she stated “since when are they doctors”. This constant circle of events has made me want to write this review, something that never do unless it’s a positive review. I do this to make parents aware of this facility and to make the better choice. Take the extra day to look at that other day care. Ask questions! Advocate. Don’t allow inconsistencies to go unnoticed. Hope this helps someone!

My niece has been attending this “school” since she was one. There were some problems here and there like unnecessary school closings and early pick up without notice amongst other things. However, we were absolutely disgusted and astonished by their lack of care and professionalism the other day when my sister in law received a call. The call consisted of multiple staff members degrading their student of three years, my niece. Insinuating that there was “something wrong with her” and she needed to be picked up immediately. In the background you could hear other staff members outright saying “she needs to picked up now and how ridiculous it was that she was even present”. As if she was contagious or suffering from an unsafe condition They continued on to cause unnecessary worry and panic in front of other staff members and children. Mind you they had sent my niece to “school” with a bit of a cross eye and they had informed the school prior as they wanted to keep an eye on it while they waited for an optometrist appointment. The lack of care and regard shown for a three year old child who might’ve already been feeling insecure is disgusting. After pick up they got my niece an appointment and were informed she just needed glasses -they informed the school Carla’s Kids and they received no apology or concern. It’s a shame that this type of behavior is allowed for a daycare claiming to be a school. I wholeheartedly pray no child ever has to experience this as my niece was already insecure about her eye and to have grown adults isolating her and degrading her is foul behavior from people who are suppose to be nurturing and kind.

Extremely Rude, Unprofessional, Insensitive, and horrible management. Please say your time and money and do not put your child here. At a very sensitive time they choose to show their true colors. I work in a school setting to know that kids are very smart and they will know if you are discriminating them.

I've never met so many PARENTS who are so satisfied & appreciative for a day care like Carla's Kids. I was visiting friends in N.J. & I went with my friend to pick up her son. Although happy to see his mommy, he didn't seem to want to stop playing & go home. My friend says, she's never met a more dedicated director than Miss Carla. She always know that her son is in great hands. My knowing how protective she is with her one & only son, that says a lot for that day care.

Carla's kids did a great job with my son when he attended their childcare facility. Their teachings gave my son an advantage going into kindergarten. My review is long overdue.
