What Parents Say
Caring Hands receives mixed reviews with strong polarization. Five parents praise the staff's care, dedication, and family-like atmosphere, with children thriving academically and emotionally. Three parents report serious concerns including inadequate supervision, lack of communication about illness, unauthorized discipline, and the director imposing personal religious/political views.
I love this place and I love the women who work there! I have known them for over 8 years now! I worked there while pregnant with my first child and loved it! Once he was born, he attended there with me, until I became pregnant with my 2nd child and decided to stay home. I decided to go back to work when my oldest started kindergarten (3 years ago), so I enrolled my youngest into Caring Hands. She has loved every minute of it and her teachers (owner included!) love her like she is their own. As a matter of fact, she starts kindergarten this year and is so sad about not being at Caring Hands anymore, that she won't even talk about it! The owner and her teachers have become like family members to us and we couldn't have asked for a better staff to help raise, love, and teach our children. Also, as I was reading some of the other comments, I saw a few people saying that she pushes her religion and opinions on others. I am not Catholic, and she and I have always had different views on politics and such...I have never had an issue with her having strong beliefs and speaking her mind. I admire her for it. She loves each child, and I know that my own child has been thriving and ready for kindergarten, because of her and her teachers!
If I could've sent all my 5 children to this daycare I would in a heartbeat. Not only are the ladies amazing teachers but they actually care for the safety and education of the children. They care about the entire family and what's best for the children. Having no family here in Arkansas I was relieved to find someone who take care of my child as if he was family. Sending my son here is like sending him to my grandmother's. I highly recommend this daycare!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would!! Looks like my review was deleted so I'll say this again. I brought my child there for only 2 days. The first day was OK I guess. The 2nd day my son had caught a cold. I had just gotten a new job and he didn't have fever so I took him (he was 1 years old). My mom went to go check on him that afternoon and the director told my mom there's no open door policy and she couldn't just walk in to check on my son. My mom found my child crying on a cold concrete floor with no toys to play with, snot running down his face and fever!!! Never got a phone call from them that he had fever! They told us they had been short staffed and the lady that was supposed to be working in my sons room was across the divider they had in the room taking care of the infants just letting my son cry! Talk about wanting to severely hurt someone and choke them out!!! I was one pissed off mom!!! I didn't even bother going back for my sons blanket ! The director is weird and will push her catholic views on you! She's fake & doesn't know how to run a daycare! This place needs to be shut the hell down!!!! They're lucky I didn't call DHS!!! Do not take your children here!!!
My kids love it! My 10 year old daughter has been going here since she was 7 months old. My 2 year old goes here now as well. I would not trust my kids anywhere else. Could not ask for better or more caring teachers / Owner for my kids to get them ready for school! Their Summer Time fun is great too! :-)
Had my 3 kids there for two years My kids told me about a year after I took them out that Susan had a "spanking spoon" she used on them without my permission. The threatened our kids that she would tell their parents what they did if they told she spanked them. Made me want to go down there and hit her with the spanking spoon but my wife talked me down and we called dhs. Unfortunately Susan has a friend in DHS that kept her out of trouble. Her and her friend have a scheme where they misdiagnose kids with learning disabilities who have none so they can get government money.
