Capital Kids II

Our daughter went to Capital Kids from when she was 10 months old until she was two and a half. We moved to Washington DC from overseas and had no idea where to start when it came to finding childcare, but we were incredibly fortunate to find this wonderful daycare. The teachers always spoke with our daughter with warmth and kindness, and gave her many chances to explore and try new things. They truly brought out the children’s natural smiles. The staff were also very kind and flexible, always willing to help us with our occasional requests. Thanks to Capital Kids, our daughter grew from a baby into a bright, energetic little girl. When our assignment in Washington DC came to an end, we were truly sad to say goodbye, as she loved her time there so much. We highly recommend this daycare.

We sent our daughter to Capital Kids DC from the age of 4 months to 3.5 years-old, and our time at the school was nothing short of magical. From the exceptional teachers to administrative staff, the team at Capital Kids exuded competence, compassion, and care for each child and family’s individual needs. During our daughter’s time at Capital Kids, we saw her confidence and social-emotional development grow leaps and bounds. In a sign of just how special and unique Capital Kids is in the early childhood space, the school sees very limited turnover, respects the contributions of its educators, and is routinely updating its curriculum to reflect best practices in early education. Graduating from this beautiful community has been nothing short of bittersweet. I wish for nothing more than for every family to be fortunate enough to send their child to an early learning program as impressive as Capital Kids DC.

We love Capital Kids DC and are fully happy that it is part of our kids' memories of their childhood. A Google review can't adequately capture how warm and welcoming they were to our young guys, teaching them, comforting them when they were nervous at drop-off or upset about anything. From the cheerful, passionate owners to the dear, attentive, long-serving care-givers, CKDC is truly a precious gem in our city.

We’ve had the privilege and honor of sending our two kids to this wonderful school/day care for nearly 7.5 years. As soon as we stepped foot into the baby room in 2016, we quickly realized we found the best place for our kids. The teachers not only taught our kids how to eat, crawl, and walk, but they showed them how to share, and be kind friends. As the kids moved up in rooms, they learned how to put together puzzles, listen to books, play outside, take field trips, learn how to manage their feelings, and so much more. Thank you Capital Kids teachers past and present for taking such good care of our children. We are so grateful for every single person we’ve met. You’ve enriched both our lives and our kids lives.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Capitol Kids! From the very first day, it was clear that this is more than just a daycare — it’s a warm, nurturing environment where children truly thrive. My son has been here since 6 months old and he absolutely loves going each day, and as a parent, there’s nothing more reassuring than seeing your child excited to learn and play in a space that feels safe and joyful. The teachers are phenomenal — patient, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They’ve created a supportive atmosphere that encourages creativity, kindness, and curiosity.
