Canyon Creek Preschool

Canyon Creek Preschool is an absolute gem! This precious school has been a part of our family's life since 2019 after a chance conversation with a neighbor. My 3YO (at the time) was a late to fully potty train, so I had resigned that we would have to wait another year to start preschool. Our neighbor mentioned that CCP had been willing to work with their 3YO who was also later to potty train. I called, toured, and registered at the school within the week, and we never looked back. Not only were my kids incredibly well-prepared for kindergarten academically, but they were also loved and treasured by the teachers and staff as if they were their own. The teachers (many of them retired past-teachers and many of whom have worked at the school for over a decade) are passionate, loving, and so incredibly knowledgeable and seasoned about what preschoolers need developmentally. My kids were encouraged in their spiritual growth and character development in such a meaningful way. Canyon Creek Preschool really does focus on the development of the whole child, and I cannot emphasize enough what a truly precious, special community exists at this school. I'm endlessly grateful for the love, intention, and care that exists at Canyon Creek throughout the halls.

Having researched multiple preschools, we opted to drive a little further because CCP felt right from the start. From the administration through all the teachers and aides, everyone is dedicated to creating a joyful and safe environment for the children. Our sweet girl had several tearful starts to her days at the beginning of the year as this was her first time away from her family. But her teachers loved on her constantly and quickly recognized her natural tendency to be a helper. They nurtured this trait and helped her transition beautifully. My toddler has thrived this past year and now looks forward to school thanks to the dedicated teachers that went above and beyond. Couldn’t be happier with our decision!

My daughter attended Canyon Creek Preschool during the 2016-17 academic year. She is the youngest of my five children, and I've had experience with a number of other preschools in other communities. I've also formerly worked as an educator. Canyon Creek is exceptional. The staff is professional and obviously well-trained in early childhood development. The curriculum and style of instruction are age-appropriate. The class sizes are ideal. The instructional materials are inviting and varied. The building atmosphere is warm and cheerful. Walking through the art-filled hallway to deliver my daughter to class was often a highlight of my day. The staff is friendly, and they are usually at the front door greeting the students and parents as they enter and leave each day. The religious instruction is Christian, but the school is welcoming to families from other religious and non-religious traditions. (Our family is agnostic.) My daughter felt loved at Canyon Creek, and she is now well-prepared to begin kindergarten (letter/sound recognition, writing letters and numbers, social interaction, following instruction and routines, and self-confidence). This school is built on a strong instructional foundation, and yet, despite its professionalism, it has a very warm, neighborly environment that is free from the commercialism of some other preschools. The price is very reasonable and well-worth the investment in your child. I'm grateful that I heard about this gem of a school through word-of-mouth because our experience has been entirely positive.
