This is the worst after school care ever. My son is 4 and got kicked out only after 2 days!!!! They didn’t even give my son time to adjust or let us try different things to help. I had to drop 10 hours of my work week because my son was “too much” only after 2 days. They said this program wasn’t fit for my child. Don’t offer this program to people if you can’t do your job. Hire new employees. Do something other than telling me that my sons attention span is “less than 15 seconds”. We payed $40 for registration and $65 for the week for NOTHING! I could have done better things with that money! Please put your children in a more professional program.

Campus Kids has been a wonderful before/after school care experience for my son! He has attended since kindergarten where he appreciates excellent and loving care on a daily basis from teachers/paraeducators, receives a snack, completes his homework under supervised care, and plays joyfully with his friends doing a variety of activities (outside sports, computer lab, free play, etc) all from the comfort of his own elementary school. Simply one of the best decisions I have ever made in regards to childcare!

3 stars only because my child is currently still enrolled. Reality is you can’t beat the price, buuutttt you also clearly get what you pay for. The owner, Larry came off extremely rude and judgmental of single mothers and honestly left a bad impression but I still went forward because he is not on campus with the kids. The whole process of getting the kids enrolled was a mess and there clearly is not enough communication between owner and his staff on campus. If you have a better option I’d highly recommend going that way. I didn’t read the reviews in advance and I wish I would have.

The staff at this location are good until you are a couple minutes late to get your child. I am a single mom and drive an hour to and from work and enrolled my daughter in Campus Kids at Greenwood Forest without hesitation my daughter attended Ehrhardt Elementary the last two years and she was enrolled at Campus Kids and the staff at the facility always warm, welcoming and friendly. At Greenwood Forest I received a cold lecture and suggestions that paying in advance was making it 'difficult for her'. The rules are: Any late pick-ups are charged a dollar per minute. I agreed to the rules when I signed her up there and I abided by my agreement without hesitation. Therefore, I don't feel the need to be treated like I am a despicable person if I happen to get stuck in a traffic jam on Beltway 8 . In addition I can promise, I would rather not run behind with far more urgency than they have, because really, who wants to pay a dollar per minute? The first instance of this ridicule was when I was behind an accident the first time and I was told 'it didn't matter if I called'. The second time, I didn't call per the prior discussion and I get told I should at least call. I am not a combative person so I have just stressed and rushed every day to get from my job to my daughter as quickly as possible and regardless there is needless critique. "I paid too much, my money order wasn't exact, I called, I didn't call" etc. Eventually I call to ask about filing a complaint and the person who answered told me he was the owner and I was 'happy to go somewhere that could accommodate my work hours'. Essentially my take-away from this was ' I don't care and the money you pay for your child to be at my place of business is meaningless'. I take customer service very serious because of the role I am in, in my job and I can promise, the condescending looks and petty complaints are something I would never stoop to with even one customer.

I am a mother of a child with special needs (6 different disorders ranging from OSND - Autism and Tourette's to OCD) and enrolled him in the summer program at Hassler. I have verbalized his disorders to not only the site director but the teacher on several occasions. I have given them pointers on how to handle certain situations to avoid meltdowns. Today I picked up my son and was again confronted over a meltdown. I can completely understand why they are upset and in no way condone the behavior. However, telling a child with OSND - autism that they need to "use their words" while having a meltdown (which these particular situations could have been avoided with proper training) is like asking a child with Tourette's not to tic. It is even scarier that the site director is an administrator for a school and does not know proper calm-down methods that aren't purely escalation. I witnessed her methods while picking up my son one day. This entire situation could have been avoided if they knew what to look for and how to do it properly. We will not be returning.
