Amazing experience for the schools. Thank all the instructors, for putting together this lifetime camping experience. Im truly blessed to have experienced it twice, once as a chid 25 years ago,and once again with my son. Alot of great memories were made, thanks guys 🤘
Beautiful and peaceful. The lodge was so nice and clean. Came here for a training and the building the training was held was also Beautiful.
This place is absolutely amazingly spectacular!!! I have not 1 bad word about this place. The staff are simply wonderful! The dining experience was engaging and educational for the children. They absolutely loved it! All the employees were magnificent but i would like to give a huge shout out to a few that the kids really loved ...Nate, Hannah, Meredith, and Emily. Just their energy and personality alone were very welcoming for the kids. And they were fun, yet firm. And very knowledgeable when needed to be so. Best place ever. Thank you so much camp McDowell!!! Me and my daughter had a great first experience on our school field trip and we hope we get to have many more wonderful experiences at your camp. Keep up the great work!😊
I accompanied my nine year old daughter on a school field trip to Camp McDowell during October of 2022. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and so was the camp. As a school/group activity, the counselors kept everyone engaged and very extremely patient with so many rambunctious kids. Every day was filled with new activities. The kids were taught facts about animals and learned to use a compass. They were also able to catch frogs, tadpoles, and different insects and learn about them. We spent two nights and three days. We were fed breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with snacks. The food was actually really good. Fruit & vegetables were served at every meal, and the kids really seemed to enjoy the food. My daughter and her classmates all seemed to have a great time, and I would love to bring my family back.
I've been three times with different groups. A pleasure each time. The instructors are entertaining as well as knowledgeable. They do a great job of working around the weather to keep the kids engaged in educational activities. In the words of Big Dave, this place is "AWESOME"
