Left a large local mega TV church several years ago for services at Calvary Church of Santa Ana, CA. Ministry is well grounded in the Bible; welcome to church every Sunday is always heartfelt and personal. My wife and I joined the church and were baptized by immersion. There is always a need for committed Christens. We have assisted with Vacation Bible School and food pantry handouts. We look forward to what God has in store for us and our daughter & granddaughter at Calvary Church for years to come.
My co worker invited me to this church, I was hesitant at first due to being raised Catholic, but since it was Easter Sunday, I decided to give it a try. I haven’t been to church in 20 years, and this was my first time at a Christian church. I asked my boyfriend (who was also raised Catholic) if he wanted to join me, and he said yes. Yesterday morning when we arrived, we were immediately greeted at the front with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. I felt a sense of peace and belonging, no judgment or fear. The whole experience incredible, I was deeply moved by the Pastor’s words and cried several times during the baptism part. I left the church feeling loved, renewed, and filled with joy. Thank you Calvary Church for helping me strengthen my faith in God.
Calvary Church' Alpha Course was a life changing event. It inspired me to discover the answers to Lifes most important questions: "Who am I?" Why am I here?" "Is there more to Life that this?" "Who is Jesus?" Alpha led to Discipleship with an exemplary Christian Man within the Church that gave me a strong foundation in Christianity. The Alpha Course also led me to a small group men's Bible Study. Meeting with a group of men who face Life's challenges head on with Jesus Christ in the driver''s seat, the Holy Spirit guiding their paths and all for the Glory of God our Father has been extremely satisfying. Knowing you have other Christian's to turn to thru Life's endless challenges is of great comfort & acts like a safety net. If your struggling, trying to do life on your own, facing life changing events, having marriage or relationship problems, then I strongly encourage turning your compass towards the Lord. Take a chance... Calvary Church is a great place to start a MUCH more rewarding, fulfilling, loving way of Life thru our LORD, Jesus Christ.
This is a church I will never bring my children to again. The family pastor here lacks experience in handling children’s emotions. Not only was she unable to effectively calm an 8-year-old, but she also kept emphasizing that she is the VBS leader and that my child couldn’t communicate with her. Additionally, she hung up on me and lied.
I use to attend this church about 15 years ago. They always treated me kind with no judgement. I am praying and looking for a new church home. I really want to return to this loving, caring, church family. I was in a deciaple makers class I hope they are still going 💞 a lot has changed in my life since I left do to a relapse But GOD . Now I run a nonprofit helping the lost with the love that Jesus has for people. I am going to go visit and see how it's goes. Lord guide me in Jesus name To God be the glory for the great things he has done 🙌
