My son attended here for two months and our time here was not happy. I received constant negativity regarding his day from his teachers and administrators - very rarely did I come to pick him up and was told something positive. About 2 weeks before we left, I was told that he was unsafe and not welcomed back until a mandatory meeting took place to discuss his future there. During this meeting, they were quick to defend the rest of the kids in his class, making me feel as though he was the outcast and the worst one. Now that he’s left and has been at his new school for over a month now, I have been reassured that he is a completely normal toddler. Either way, I was told he wasn’t fit for their program and was pushed to find somewhere else for him (I asked for a couple of weeks to heavily research and find a good school for him which they agreed to but we were rushed out within a week). I do believe there are positive aspects to CVLC. I have family and parents whose kids I watched that attend here and love it. But as someone who has worked in childcare (as a teacher and administrator) since I was 18, I was absolutely saddened by the treatment we received. I just want my experience out there because, how our situation was handled, was in no way how a facility should ever handle it. I edit to add: I respect that the owner found the program to not be right for my son, but the events that surrounded it are why I’m upset and felt the need to share. There was no true communication and they expected so much out of him and out of me in such a short period of time. Barely enough guidance was given for him and only small efforts were made to genuinely try to help him adjust. I was extremely cooperative and respectful the entire fiasco, adjusting my time to convenience theirs. And, although they “allowed him to stay until I found a new program”, they didn’t respect most of what was asked from them.

Our family made the switch from Ardent to CVLC a few years ago and what a blessing it has been. Staff and teachers have been nothing short of amazing. They truly care for each child, help them learn and grow, and have fun simultaneously. Neither of my children have ever cried at drop off and we haven't had a single issue. CVLC is honestly so wonderful. We highly recommend!

We have loved having our son in 4k here. Nothing negative to say. All the classrooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. If you are looking for something more educational than just a "daycare" this is it! Our son has learned so much since he started in August this year and will be more than ready to start Kindergarten next fall. We have loved having Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Mona as his 4k teachers. In comparasion to the former preschool our older son attended, CVLC is top notch and has exceeded all expectations we had.

We can't be happier with CVLC, especially Ms. Marlaina! She took care of our newborn starting at 3 months. She is so attentive and caring. We feel so lucky to have such a perfect first teacher for our first child. And with the open door policy and live camera feed, it made the transition back to work seamless. We felt like our daughter was truly cared for and safe. Can't recommend this school enough!

My experience with Cahaba Valley Learning Center so far has been one that has highly surpassed my expectations! The class ratios are small, and there is true hands care. I've had my child here for the past month or so, and learn something new every week that makes me like them even more. For example : My daughter was out last week due to a fever. Her teacher called me twice that day to check on her. Made me feel like she was more than a number. I would highly recommend Cahaba Valley to anyone searching for a good fit in childcare for their family.
