What Parents Say
Butterfly Learning Center receives highly polarized reviews. Positive reviewers praise the clean facility, caring staff, and owner Maggie's responsiveness, with children reportedly happy and learning well. Negative reviewers report the center dismisses children with behavioral or developmental needs without adequate communication, lacks cameras despite state requirements, fails to notify parents of injuries promptly, and some allege physical discipline.
Maggie is the worst if a child has behavior problems she is quick to kick them out. Maggie told me to get my child help which I did everything this lady ask me to do to help my child I did and then finally get an appointment for them to come to the daycare to help my child she tells me I have 2 weeks to find my child a new daycare. They have no cameras I told her by state she needed to have cameras she told me it’s her money and she didn’t have to get them fix . If something happens at the daycare I don’t get a call especially if my child get hurt she wait until pick up time to say something my grandson goes here too and he got bite in the face my daughter didn’t get a phone call or anything other parent call my daughter to tell her that my grandson was in the office that other child bit him on the face and broken skin
My two kids have attended this daycare for years and I have never had an issue with the staff or the quality of service. The owner, Maggie, is really nice and understanding and my child has always said nice things about the teachers! Would definitely recommend.
My youngest is 4 years old and has been at the center over a year. He’s made so many friends that I hear all about the rest of the day ! He comes home singing his days of the week and his months in order, thanks to butterfly learning center. They never forget his food allergies, he’s always leaving with a big smile and I can hear the whole class saying bye to him at pick up. I never have to worry about him while he’s there. Definitely one of my favorites !
My child has behavioral needs and developmental delays as well as speech delays. I came into this daycare with this information including his I.E.P. I spoke to the staff extensively before completing the application and childcare forms because I was concerned about whether or not the daycare establishment could accommodate him as well as their other children. They took him on and not more than a month later they dismissed my child. I had no communication as to him having any real big complications until 5 days before they relinquished their care. I was being told he was doing fine until they started calling my workplace for me to pick him up. They were rude to me about my child's behavior dispite the fact that I tried to prepare them for it. I let them know he has services that work with him through the I.U. and through Unconditional Childcare and that he is on serveral waiting lists for a Developmental Pediatrician and that I am doing everything possible to pay attention to his behaviors and they were not willing to work with him. They could have told me in the beginning that they did not have enough staff or resources to take on a child with the behavioral and learning challenges my child expresses. They wasted my time and my child's time because he will be delayed yet again because of his daycare changes for his OT and one other service. It was incredibly unprofessional to be lead on for 3 weeks believing my child has been doing well only to find out this wasn't the case and 5 days later being asked to leave. My child is 4 and with the type of behavioral issues stability and communication is paramount there were several other issues I had with them that I don't even want to get into because I honestly feel that it comes down to this... Parents if your child needs to be acclimated to a daycare setting but also has Special Needs of any kind THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THEM.
I have a very good experience so far..my baby has been there for 2 months and no issues. I do recommend this place, they have a clean environment, everyone is caring, the owner is a very nice lady and will answer any questions you might have.. I just feel they need a little bit of organization sometimes the baby comes to the house with stuff that dont belong to him like socks, or dont bring his bottle.
