What Parents Say
Busy Bee Childcare receives highly polarized reviews. Multiple parents praise the caring staff, educational activities, developmental progress, and affordable pricing, while others report serious concerns including lack of adjustment support, poor hygiene, insufficient staffing, and safety incidents.
My girls love it here. Friendly staff. It’s difficult to find someone to care for your young children. My baby has been attending this daycare since she was 3 months old and I trust that she is cared for. My almost four year old loves the fun extra things they do for the kids. She still talks about the leprechauns that made a mess of her classroom and the class bathroom last year.
LITERALLY A JOKE! This daycare experience was completely unprofessional. My 23 month attended for 2 weeks all together. He went for 3 weeks but he was sick for 3 of those days and one week only went for 2 days. Anyway, he has been with me every single day. For his whole life so he had separation anxiety and would cry. He just had to get used to the environment. I talked to other day care teachers and they have told me sometimes it can take up to a month or two for a child to be fully adjusted. Every time I would drop him off they would give me dirty looks and act like it was a problem to hold him. The DIRECTOR would not talk to me either. She would leave notes saying how my son isn’t going to change etc etc. they seriously gave him no chance at all. He was neglected from attention there. And I can not believe that the own director didn’t even try to make a effort to set up a appointment and talk about anything. They were the absolute worst experience and they have way too many kids and not enough teachers. I have told the new day care he’s going too about this situation and she as well thinks it is absolutely ridiculous. Do not bring your little child here if they require any kind of attention because they will not get it! EDIT: my son has been going to a new day care for the past week and has been as absolute joy! They said he never cries. He has been eating like CRAZY. 😂 & playing. I am so happy we found our new place that makes me feel so welcomed and I am so mad I had to expirence this awful day care to find them. His mood has improved 100% and he is always happy now! 😊 sorry BUSY BEE, you failed my child and god knows how many others but you made one good thing happen and that’s him finding a new wonderful place to go!
I wish I read some of the comments before sending our little one here… im sorry to even post about this but, I feel other parents should be made aware. Our daughter who was 1 was sick because she was just starting daycare. Expected right? Yes. It was like clock work for 3 weeks. Every Wednesday I would pick her up and she would be out for the rest of that week due to an illness. That’s 9 days in total broken up between 3 weeks that she was there. You also have to count it was Christmas time and there were lots of closings and craziness again, expected. What was not expected was the unprofessional typed note that was left in her cubby one evening explaining basically that she wasn’t adjusting and we had to find a new daycare in a week! Not once was I pulled aside by the director and asked to talk or schedule a meeting. I worked in daycare for 6 years and know it takes time for a child to adjust. This was absolutely ridiculous. There were multiple other things I was not happy about but, I’m not getting into them. The bottom line is we were on a waiting list for a place who wouldn’t even work with our daughter to make her feel adjusted and home. I’m sorry to the staff that did care and who let me know my child cried all day. This happened twice. I ended up taking her to the doctors both times and finding out she was sick. All in all, not a place I will ever send any of my children to due to lack of care, lack of professionalism and communication. I will add, she has now been going to where I used to work and she is thriving. They love her and she has adjusted perfectly!
Both of my youngest attend Busy Bees and they love it. They love their teachers, they love the things they do on a daily basis. They are always doing something new to bring home even the nursey. They always celebrate birthdays, holiday, summer they have water days each week. The teachers here are amazing overall and love the kids as their own. I would not consider placing my kids elsewhere now.
My daughter has been going here since she was 2. She is now 3 soon to be 4. My son started at the age of 2 and has been there now for about 4 months. I absolutely love the teachers/employees. Prior to my daughter going to busy bee she was home with me and we had tried other facities and she didn't adapt well at all. Screamed, cried, wouldn't nap or eat, I mean it was horrible... 1week after being at busy bee she would actually beg to go to daycare.... She loves Ms. Tracey who is the owner of Busy Bee and her Teacher Ms. Latoya..Within 4 months of her being here she could sing her ABCs, Count to 20, Tell me any color I would pointed to, Potty trained, On a Napping schedule, speak so well i fwlt i went from talking to a 2 year old to a 8 year old, Sing songs that I haven't heard since I was a child and not to mention they eat breakfast, lunch, and snack after nap. The Playground is amazing very big and the kids spend a lot of time playing outside running around when its nice out. The teachers play with them and play games they dont just stand around. Which I liked because I didn't want her stuck inside on nice days. She has made me so many crafts that I am thankful for!! They have reading and art everyday which I personally love. As a reminder she was 2 years old doing all the above. She is now 4 and I've been told by her pediatrician & the head start program that who ever worked with her did well that she is very advanced for her age.. At the age of 3 she currently is on a childs level thats in 1st grade. This may not seem like a big deal but shes 3 and could go into 1st grade with 6/7 year olds. As far as her writing speech and reading are concerned. Busy Bee did that for her.. Same for my son. He loves it. He's 2 and were working on Potty Training now but currently Knows his colors and ABC's. Prior to starting at busy bee he was home with me from birth. He had a speech delay from tongue thrusting. Meaning he had a hard time pronouncing words he would stick tongue to lips when talking rather than top of his mouth. So like a lisp in a way.. Within 2 months he no longer has this problem.. He speaks very well. Busy Bee change his life. I was always worried that I'd have to put him in therapy , he'd be made fun of, money for therapy, and of course it discouraging him and being hard on himself... Ms. Gina my sons teacher is amazing. She treats him like her own child. She teaches them to share, be fair, to be responsible, honest, caring, helpful and many other things. My children run to their teachers every morning to hug them and always hug them goodbye at the end of the day . This is a long review but I wanted all moms to see how much busy bee has helped my children and how happy they are. I will never change day care providers. Prices are amazing!! Cheapest I've seen and I've worked with 7 other facilities with my daughter before going to busy bee. Others don't hold a flag to busy bee. Only critical thing I can say is one teacher there for I believe 4/5 yr olds isn't as friendly as the other teachers.
