Could not have asked for a better school for my child. Great sense of team work, my child's speech has improved significantly, he's learned to communicate more and I love the curriculum. The teachers and staff coordinate with the parents and most of all of the activities that the children get to experience and do is wonderful. Oh and my child loves his teachers!
Bushwick United Headstart is a very good preschool. When I was enrolling my child to get into preschool, I have noticed that it was very difficult to get him into any kind of school program because of the surge of young preschool age children that needed school. This school accepted him and I was so grateful for that!! I wanted him to go to a Headstart program because my child was showing signs that he needed early intervention and I was told that head start was a good option. The teachers and the principle are wonderful people. They have an excellent Headstart program, but if your child has special needs or a learning disability of some kind, your child may not be able to stay there full days, maybe 4 hours at most and a parent would be called for pick up, so be on stand by for picking up your child. They will have your child evaluated if it is obvious that it needs to be done. I think this preschool is great for children that are not on the spectrum or have some kind of ADHD. They will benefit greatly from what they have to offer.
