Bundle Of Joy - Atlee

I am highly disappointed in this school. On my daughter’s very first day, they kicked her out, saying she was a “safety hazard” because she wouldn’t lay down on a cot and knew how to open doors. They didn’t even give her a week not even a few days to adjust to a brand-new environment. As I dropped her off that morning, I saw another child crying and visibly upset, yet not a single teacher not even the director, who was walking us to the classroom stopped to console that child. That alone told me a lot about the lack of compassion here. On top of that, her teacher, Mr. Dontae, barely acknowledged us. His “hello” was dry and dismissive, and he made no effort to welcome my daughter or help her feel comfortable on her first day. Yes, my daughter is high energy, but she is a child that’s normal. The real issue is the school’s complete lack of patience, support, and professionalism. Instead of helping her transition, they gave up on her within hours. As a mom, I’m extremely disappointed in how this was handled and I would not recommend this school to any parent looking for a caring, supportive, and safe environment for their child.

We recently enrolled our 16-month-old daughter here and overall, it was a positive experience. We had to unenroll sooner than expected due to moving. One thing I really appreciated was the consistency of daily updates and pictures—it gave me peace of mind and helped me feel connected to her day. Ms. Krystle was awesome with keeping up with that and quick communication. The structured schedule was also a big plus; I loved knowing she was in a routine that supports her growth and development. The director, Alicia, and Alex at the front desk were always friendly and communicative to any concerns or questions. That said, I’ve noticed that illness seemed to be quite common among the toddlers, which I understand can be typical in group settings, but it’s still something we were keeping an eye on. I had to have my daughter out for about a week to allow her to recover from a virus. There have also been times where the environment has felt a bit rushed/unorganized, and I wonder if staffing challenges might be part of that. While the experience was mostly positive, I would prefer a more intimate environment for my daughter where she’s able to receive more attention, but this is a great place for a more independent child. Overall, my child was safe and learned new things in the short amount of time she was there and I’m thankful for the experience.

Bundle of Joy Atlee has been a joy for over a year! Melissa Haynes has been the primary teacher for my son since he started in April of 2022 and she has been absolutely fantastic! Luckily for us she transitioned with him from infant to toddlers! It is truly a piece of mind knowing that my son is loved and taken care by his teachers Melissa and Lillian and if anything is out of the ordinary for him I am notified immediately. Ms. Jill prepares the absolute best food for our growing guy and directors have always been amazing but my son especially loves Ms. Deena and how she greats him every morning! When multiple teachers (even those who are not primarily assigned to your child) know your name and your child’s name you feel at home! We are so happy to have found Bundle of Joy and we look forward to enrolling our future children as well!

Our sons have been attending BOJ since they were both infants. We switched to the Atlee location in fall of 2021 and we have had such a wonderful experience. The teachers and administrative team are very communicative and always open to feedback and questions. Our kids are now both school age and love being able to go somewhere fun after school with their friends. Both of my kids were well prepared for kindergarten thanks to BOJ’s pre-k program. We are grateful to have such a reliable childcare provider!

We started at BOJ Atlee in September 2019 with my daughter and she loved it there so much that she did not want to leave to start Kindergarten! My son started there in 2022 and is currently loving it in the 2's room. Directors are very responsive and helpful with any concerns. All of the teachers and staff have been great, they show the children so much love and truly care about them. They are like a second family to us. We love BOJ Atlee!
