AMAZING school & daycare program! My 2 girls have grown up there over the past 8 years with many of the same teachers & staff (which is a rarity at many daycare facilities). Great summer activity & field trip program for all ages & awesome playgrounds on site for all different ages. They truly treat you like family & most importantly, my kids LOVE it there. I highly recommend Building Rainbows to anyone looking for a daycare facility or before/after school program!
My family and I moved to Cypress in 2016 from Alexandria, VA. It was a daunting move for us as we knew no one in the area and had a short time to find a home and child care for then our one year old son. As luck would have it, I came across Building Rainbows through a google search. When I called, I had the most reassuring conversation with the director, Dawn Haban. I explained that I was looking for a day care that was focused on helping my child learn through play (with structure), lots of outside time for my rambunctious boy, and teachers that were invested in the children and their positions. Ms. Haban gave me the brief history of their program and then discussed her teachers, most at the time had been there for over 10 years in their positions. Once we visited I realized I had stumbled across a place that was more of extended family of caregivers than a “day care”. Building Rainbows reinforced the values that my family holds dear, kindness, helping, and learning. They helped them potty train, learn to share, write, count, pick up after themselves. The lessons are endless. They helped build my children’s foundations and I am forever grateful. Ms Haban and all the staff there were quick to address and concerns I had, great at communicating important items or concerns, and loved my children as their own. Both of my children, now 9 and 7, spent their early childhoods, even through the pandemic, in the care of the most generous, focused, and loving caregivers. My children still recount stories of their time there and always ask “when can we go visit?” It was never a place they cried about- they were always excited to be there. If you are looking for a home away from home for your children, and not just a day care factory; please call and schedule a visit with them. I promise you will find a place that you will hold as dear in your heart as we do.
I cannot tell you how happy we are to have found such a great daycare! After moving, our kids were breiefly at another daycare and it was a very disheartening experience. We decided to enroll our two youngest at building rainbows and it has been the best decision ever! Our kids have been going to building rainbows for a few months now and they love it! All of the teachers (along with the director and owner) have been so attentive, caring and welcoming. This place feels like home!
My family was a part of Building Rainbows the past 3yrs. Such a wonderful staff! I kept being impressed by how much the kids were learning. There is great structure throughout the year as a school and in each classroom (lessons, snacks, classroom organization, and behavior management.) Summer activities are fantastic, fun, and engaging too! There is a large garden and outdoor playgrounds that are divided up by age group. Amazing! My kids loved the field trips, pictures with the ponies (around rodeo time), holiday parades, and most of all their teachers. Forever grateful for how the teachers and staff loved on my kids. (We only left because we moved out of state.)
I never thought I could find a daycare/preschool where I wouldn’t worry about my child, and then I found Building Rainbows. This is the best daycare/preschool, and I don’t say that lightly. From owners, to the director, and the teachers, there is so much care and intention to what they do. My son was in the baby room, but we knew most of the teachers in the small building. He has learned and grown so much here. Smaller class sizes, seeing the same teachers in the morning and afternoon, outdoor play, curriculum, love, experience, and a genuine family feeling are many reasons why I love this place. Thank you so much to this school. You will not regret sending your child here. Everyday I knew he was safe and thriving. He loved it too.
