What Parents Say
Building Kidz of Mountain View receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights caring staff, individualized attention, spacious facilities, and included enrichment activities like yoga and music. However, significant concerns have been raised about security protocols, unreliable check-in systems, inconsistent snack availability, and non-transparent pricing.
I reached out to request tuition information, but was told pricing is only available after completing a tour. All daycares I’ve contacted provide their fees upfront, so this policy made the process more difficult than expected. I’ve since received multiple marketing emails and mailers with promotions, but they aren’t helpful without knowing the actual cost. Overall, the experience felt inefficient and discouraging.
This is by far the best daycare and preschool for kids. The staff is very caring and supportive and helps in each individual kids needs. We had both our kids enrolled from 6 months until 3 years of age, and they loved their time at school. The food is also great. One of the best part is the extracurricular activities like yoga, music, dance, theatre etc, which is included in their curriculum while most of the places it is either not there or paid extra.
It was a convenient location for us, however, I question the security of the place. First, there is a key entry that everyone knows the same code. Really? You wouldn't want unique identifiers so you know who entered and left? Second, the computer for "Check-In" is 75% always down, and parents have lost so much faith in it that I seemed to be the only one using it. Thus how would the school be able to take attendance and know who's kid is on premise. Third, if you're lucky to get there before 7:45am then your kid gets a snack in Classroom #3. However, past 7:45am and you're kid goes to any other classroom, good lucky trying to get some crackers. Safe bet is to bring your own snack, but then everyone else's kid is looking at yours like ravens swarming for fresh meat. On a serious note, if the school doesn't take security serious (issues named above), then people will begin to wake up and start taking their kids elsewhere like The Wonder Years Preschool on El Camino that has a newer facility and takes security & check-in much more seriously.
