All 3 of our daughters went to Building Blocks and I cannot say enough how happy we were. They love the kids, they focus on important growth and development beyond just academics, and are clearly dedicated to teaching and creating a community environment. If you're looking for a place to send your children, don't hesitate.
I was a student of Building Blocks back when they still operated out of a church basement in South Lowell. When I was 3 years old, this kid kept kicking me. My mom, born and raised in Lowell, went to Mrs. McCarthy the principal who I don't know how is still alive, who told my mom to have me "kick him back." My mom went to my pediatrician to make sure she hadn't lost her mind, and my pediatrician said "WHAT PRESCHOOL IS THIS?!" Fast forward to when I'm 17, (I'm now almost 30), my mom's subordinate mentions she had to take her kid out of their preschool because he said he wanted to go home, and the principal put his jacket and backpack on him and let him leave. This toddler got to Clark Road. Turns out it was Building Blocks. In 2021, I saw Mrs. McCarthy at my local Market Basket, after having just moved home to Belvediere. I texted my mother as I was still speaking to her at the time and she said, "Only the good die young." And that's how I learned if your students mother went to Lowell High in the 80s, don't screw around with her when it comes to her kid. The Belvidere parents love her, for reasons that are beyond me. I'm now a Master's level social Worker and just based on the two incidents I can't believe this place hasn't been on the Channel 5 news or there hasn't been a massive walk out.
Teachers are great, you can tell they care a lot about the students. My son loves it.
