Building Blocks For Tots

We love Building Blocks! We have had nothing but good experiences with the staff and are pleased with the level of care they provide my child. Any issue I've ever needed addressed has been welcomed and handled by the admin team in a timely manner. My child is always welcomed by name each morning by all staff, I feel they truly care about her. Would recommend this facility to any parent!

We had a terrible experience at this daycare and would not recommend. My daughter was in the one-year-old room for just a few weeks, during which she was bitten severely two days in a row. As a parent, this was both shocking and heartbreaking. The director informed us that the child responsible for the bites had bitten other children and was on a "plan." Their policy allows for up to three bites in one day before a child is removed. I confirmed with the director that this meant my daughter could continue to be bitten daily without any consequences, and she confirmed that the child was "on a plan" and they were working with him. I couldn’t, in good conscience, keep sending my daughter to a place where she was at risk of being bitten every day. My advice to parents is to thoroughly review the daycare’s policies before enrolling. I assumed that if multiple children were being bitten, the child responsible would be removed, but that wasn’t the case here. While I had other concerns, the main reason we left was due to the biting and the fear that my daughter wasn’t safe. Children at this age can bite but it should not be a daily occurrence and a parent should not have to fear if this will happen each day. Moving forward my hope is their polices are reviewed and updated.

We have only had an "issue" or two, but I will say they have been positively addressed in a professional manner. Ms. Nikki and Ms. Brittany make a great Admin. Team! And the teachers have been great to my little! Shout out to all his teachers! They are great troopers for the patience they have for my son and for all children, because it truly does take a loving and caring heart to do what they do on a daily basis! My child has been going to BBFT since she was 1. She will be 3 next month and loves it. She loves her wonderful teachers Ms. Janasia and Ms. Taylor. They are structured and very hands on as well as providing lots of love to each one of their children. I have seen my child reach so many milestones while attending this center. I would recommend BBFT to anyone who wants their child to be ready come Kindergarten.

Building Blocks for Tots are absolutely amazing! My older daughter started there, and everyone thought she could not talk. She talks very well now! The Montessori method is an added bonus, but it is really the people (teachers) at Building Blocks that make this daycare to standout. They truly care for kids. The place had to close for a brief period in 2020 due to COVID, but they kept delivering educational materials and circle time. My poor kid was so happy and excited to get connected to her friends and her teachers. They very cautious and careful with all CDC-related protocols. We had to move and got a chance to visit many other facilities in other places, and none of them came close to Building Blocks in their attitude and routine. They also continuously provide different venues for parents to interact with teachers even during the most trying times. Highly recommend this facility!
