What Parents Say
Building Blocks Child Care receives highly polarized reviews with strong praise from some parents and serious concerns from others. Positive reviewers highlight friendly staff, good communication, and children's enthusiasm for attending. Negative reviewers report inadequate supervision, staff misconduct, health/safety issues, and poor management response to concerns.
Went here for an interview and was hired on the spot no background check, no application, no fingerprints not a darn thing. As I toured the building I saw multiple teachers sitting on the floor on their cell phones with children running arlund the classroom. Cockroaches in the bathroom And almost every classroom was out of ratio. I had two interviews that day and something just told me not to take this one. I wouldn't want my son coming with me to that place anyways. Do yourself a favor and skip this place entirely. I have also world alongside many other ex employees from here and have heard nothing but nightmares.
My son has been attending Building Blocks Child Care center since he was 3 months old (he will be 1 year old in a month). I love the friendly atmosphere of the classroom. I am always greeted with a smiling face in the morning and leave the same way as well. The teacher in his classroom always let me know how his day has been, both through a daily report letter and verbally. My little guy is so excited to go to school in the morning and I love picking him up in the afternoon and seeing him having fun in a pleasent, safe environment!
The director responds in a timely manner for any and all my concerns/questions. The new teacher for the VPK room sounds great. My son went from telling me they studied a letter of the week (which seems awfully drawn out) to finishing the alphabet and moving on to learning new information. Not just the basics abc & 123 but about science and other information that he enjoys telling me about on the way home.
Pulled my child out after 2 weeks. Teachers are yelling at the children "3 yr olds." My son started wetting himself after starting at building blocks. He refused to eat, I think because he was intimidated. I witnessed a teacher yelling at another child. The supervision of the children was deplorable. A child walked out of the facility with me one day. I came back in with the child and told the teacher and she said "Oh, she does that sometimes!!" The day I decided to pull my child out, the facility stunk! When I spoke to the director its like she was not surprised. Would nit recommed this facility to my worst enemy!
Do not bring your children here! Workers abuse children and the owner covers it up! They were both just arrest for doing so however I see reviews dating back to 2014 of the same accusations. This place needs to close down for good and the owner deserves jail time for allowing people to abuse children under her watch!
