They charge more for out of county, than out of state. I pay out of pocket so I ended up having to transfer due to that. transfer credit was kinda weak as I took many of these classes before but can’t say much more because I unenrolled. they have organised websites and portals. And they stay up to date with your process so that was a plus..
They do not help you AT ALL. I’ve been through so much with this school and they have consistently played me. Nobody helped me, and they treated me like I was stupid. None of the Academic advisors even THOUGHT of helping me when I was CONSTANTLY reaching out. Currently I’m withdrawn from this school & they’re saying I can’t even get a refund because I was on a payment plan??? I don’t recommend this school at all, they pick and choose who they want to help.
As the mom of a college student who had to leave a private, out of state institution for medical reasons, I came into contact with BCCC when my son was ready to obtain further credits. The administration was so very helpful, from applying for appropriate courses, to registering and payment. My son has not yet graduated, but the experience at the local community college was excellent. BCCC also has programs in which high school students with special skills or talents can participate in college level work. Both the high school and BCCC were extremely helpful in this regard. High school credits were obtained with no tuition payment. Finally, I am a sunset photographer. The high hill on the campus overlooking the baseball field just off Swamp Road is a very nice vista for sunset shots!!
I am a returning student (who is also working full-time mind you) who keeps running into issue after issue trying to return to this school. Admin blame the issues on Workday, but that doesn't explain why they never get back to me or listen. They just keep passing the issue to another person and then forgetting I exist. Trying to talk to someone ends in hours waiting on hold, just to have a call drop and then get pushed back to the end of the queue. Or waiting days for them to respond to your email, just for them to give you an unhelpful answer (telling me to do something I just told them I already did), mark the case resolved, and stop responding. As they say, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Y'all are driving me crazy and I don't have time for this.
Horrible first year experience for my son. Financial aid is completely incompetent.
