I’ve been a Head Start parent since 2019, met & interacted with many staff members, and participated on both the parental and classroom sides of the program. I’ve also had the pleasure of collaborating with the same Family Support Specialist throughout all these years. She’s extremely willing to be helpful and resourceful for each parent’s circumstances and loves to be of service. She is always looking for ways to meet her family's needs. Currently and as of 11/2023, the staff at the Miller/Fire Dept. location are decent and follow the children’s scheduled daily routines which ensures that my child feels comfortable returning. My child looks forward to greeting the staff and classmates, playing outdoors in the newly renovated playground (lots of fun options for them outdoors and even water misters for hot days), learning indoors (singing, dancing, reading, alphabet/numbers/calendar lessons), and mealtimes (variety of delicious options that the children love and enjoy). I’m very fortunate to be part of such an amazing program that cares for each child to thrive and I'm grateful that my children truly have gotten the best out of its purpose. I believe in this program so much that I love volunteering and even participating in the Policy Council and many other parent meetings that are open to the public.
Teachers in class room 7 dont have patience to work with kids at all. They complain every day about the kids and than try to label them. My child dont have any kind of disability but they are trying to give him med. We need more teacher that care about kids not quick to label them.......this sad 🙄☹😞😔
2 ladies only 1 speaks English the other one some what dose. They are rude. We ask the kid what they had learned and said nothing. There is a problem with this thinking.
