Bryan's House has been godsend for our family. The teachers and volunteers become a vital part of your family. The care and attention that they give to each child is unparalleled.
My son has been attending about a month; I have seen so much improvement in his motor skills. He loves going every morning. Communication from the staff is so good, we get daily reports . I’m very thankful for the staff. I will definitely recommend.
My friends and I love volunteering at Bryan’s House. The staff and teachers are wonderful, compassionate and supportive. The kids in their care are loved and treated with care and respect. What a special place for families to bring their young kids with special needs!
I want to first acknowledge the teaching staff. My son's teacher, Brittany Hamby, academically is a great teacher. My son has learned quite a bit being in her class. Some of the assistants seem to really care for the children. Management is horrible. We have expressed to them that our son was being bullied in his class. And although I understand this is a school for children with disabilities, I will not discredit these children's intelligence. My son has been bullied for a while and for a while, we didn't say anything to prevent pushback. When we finally said something about it, instead of trying to get things under wraps, we were put out. I had to beg and plead for my son not to be put out of the school the first time. We came to an agreement that weekly conversations would be good to have with the manager over the teachers to address any issues. We brought up bullying issues again today and instead of speaking to my son's father while he was present at the school, I get a phone call informing me that our son was no longer allowed due to his father's tone. No plan to address the issues, just expel my son from the campus. It was an unprofessional and cowardly way of addressing our issue, and I believe upper management needs to be replaced with people who not only care about the well being of the kids, but are willing to make changes need be to address certain issues that could be detrimentally affecting to other kids. My son has had countless bruises, he's taken on some of the behaviors of other kids, and has been afraid to go to class at times. They seem to cater to a specific race when it comes to the children and staff in the administrative positions. I hate that my son has to be punished for their lack of conflict resolution, and I'd hate for others to experience the same thing.
Incredible nonprofit doing life-changing work for children and families in the Dallas area. Strong and compassionate leadership, authentic and inclusive care, and fiscally responsible. Amazing organization to volunteer, donate, or engage if you have a child with special needs.
