If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would. Look at what I had to be faced with, on top of that ever since I got here the staff was very out of it. I’m aware that they are understaffed but that still don’t excuse the unprofessionalism and rudeness. The entire night it seems like only one doctor was expected to attend all the patients in the ER. If there were more you could’ve fooled me. As far as the nurses are concerned the one assigned to me was pretty good. Like he’s been doing his job for years because I never felt the needle when he put my IV in. And he did it on the first shot, I’m not the type of person that is an easy stick. So kudos to my ER nurse. On the other hand, This hospital needs a reset button regarding staff, equipment, and overall facilities. ( side note they do have the best ICU team in the state of NY.

Public announcement and awareness my daughter came into the hospital via ambulance from work due to head trauma unconsciousness in Which she sustain due to passing out on the job. She was taken by ambulance and we was notified by her job she was in route. Anyways when I saw my daughter she was in and out hook up to ekg no fluids until 2 hours later. I asked them did they run blood work and I told them her history which is anemia. I had my son in the car in was also having a severe migraine and my younger daughter with me. I left the hospital in good faith to come back tomorrow which will be the Sunday. I receive called from Dr. Carlson please keep in mind her parents is next to Kin to make any decisions. Moving forward with the trauma my daughter sustained to the head she was in and out of seizure keep in mind this happen at work! Dr. Carlson called me that Sunday and told me he is administering a medicine they use for people that usually have that seizure like symptoms and I agree she was not talking so I gave the ok and she will be monitored on a different floor because they did not have room in the ER but I won’t be able to see her until they find a room for her. As I sit here and type and I livid let me continue because the world will know about Brookdale and it needs ti be shut down. The following evening I received a call from my daughter and she said man they got me in a psych ward! I said to my daughter what I called several doctors names will be mentioned in the next post and they try to tell me about my daughter condition and they see this in mental patient etc! I asked them who authorized this and why would you put someone unconscious and have a traumatic injury in psych ward. Keep in mind my daughter is a federal employee, no mental illness, no depression and they tried to feed my daughter pills for mental illness and depression. She said mom the first day they gave me something after I took it I fell and the following day once she was alerted she refused all meds. Here’s where I’m going with this after speaking to several doctors patients advocate who does not advocate and the administrator Tiffany and the social worker who wore the mask so we wouldn’t see her face but her name will be all in medical report I realize that this is something that this hospital do mind you I have never step a foot in this hospital as I reside in queens my daughter job is in Brooklyn. This hospital kidnap my daughter and placed her in a ward and the doctors and administration, social workers is all in it together. People check on your love ones advocate for them their are people sitting in those wards that do not belong there and I would do everything in my power to make sure all doctors and staff and the administrator of the unit is held accountable. When they realize who my daughter parents was they said oh there’s nothing wrong with her she should not be in here!! To top it off here license and money went missing as well!! Brookdale hospital count your days every single conversation was recorded with the doctor and administrator!! To the doctors that’s responsible for sending my child to the first unit and then Aaron 5 I’m coming for those medical license!! You violated her hippa right and patient rights. I don’t care if you a private own you will be held accountable!! To the nurses who sits around and treat the patients horrible and to those who is responsible I’m coming for the license as well. You do not kidnap people children and use the involuntary rule on them and hold them captive to receive money from the city and state!! Do not respond under my post to tell me to reach out to nobody. Like why would you think it’s ok to take a Federal Employee and place her into a ward are you out your mind. Dr. Carlson and the ER doctor shame on you. Currently reporting this to the medical board for a full investigation!!

I went in because her doctor recommended that my daughter needed emergency care. Care was ok up until they lost power and water same time I get food poisoning from their food in the cafeteria. Don’t buy no food from there. When expressed that I’m sick and my daughter can’t get the right care. The doctor started to argue with me that I’m not leaving until they computers come back on for some discharge. Meanwhile I’m shytting and throwing up for 5 hrs straight. It’s cold in our room and call button for help don’t work. This is my first and very last time ever stepping foot in here!

This Hospital Staff allowed a elderly lady to play in her own diarrhea for 2 hours while they laughed and played on their cell phones. She spreaded feces everywhere around her bed. She had worms that produced flies that bit me near my private areas. I was bit 6 times on the left side. I woke in hives and with a sore throat. I'm constantly itching. I have literally scratched my chest up. Doctors ignore my pleas for help. The male nurse eventually saw the fly. It was huge like a bumblebee and he killed it stating it was full of blood and messaged the doctor telling him to treat myself and bed D for fly bites. He also stated he didn't know there were biting flies (seriously?). I'm in so much agony on the left side of my throat and the doctors are making promises to keep my pain level at a comfort and haven't made any efforts to alleviate my pain. One doctor did prescribe an antibiotic in eye drops and a magic mouthwash and neither is helping. Tylenol barely touches the pain. I cried myself to sleep last night. I'm reporting this hospital to the Health Department. I was admitted 12-18-25 for one medical issue and I'm still in this hospital because I was exposed to human feces for 2+ hours. This place is dangerous! I'm going to request to be transferred to another hospital as soon as the doctors make rounds this morning. I'm in pure agony.

This hospital is not how people talk. The doctors and staff saved my life from the ER than the recovery room Marie Raymond tread me with respect and care. DR brown I can’t forget about her she was one of the doctors that saved my life. The mother and baby unit everyone was so nice including ms grace ice , Marie , PA. J and some many others. I will give it 10 stars. Thank you
